Nope. Misc is relatively tame but long term it does affect the mind.

I'm back after a long break. Last time I was miscing regularly, the misc was still public and copefear had just sniffed some soiled panties he found on the side of the road.

IMO, Reddit is 1000x worse than misc wrt to negativity, anger, frustration, etc.

If a forum has a serious effect on you it's probably time to step back or something, at least in my opinion. I just come here for chits n giggles, discussing current events, news, that kinda chit.

The bad thing about this forum are the anti-white racist posting constant spam (pornography, etc) to rile people up.
It goes the other way too, sometimes the racial attacks are a bit too much. Such is life in multiculturalism. People get riled up.
When you remove that spam, there are sometimes some surprisingly interesting convos to be had.
Stuff about career, investing, daily life, etc.
The best is when you have solid posters with a solid life, giving advice on a variety of topics.
The best is also when a miscer honestly comes with depression and everyone strives to help him.

The Misc is still definitely a special place. I've somewhat outgrown it because I take life (too) seriously as an adult now.
But it's still worth a visit here and there.

misc used to be a great source on dating/relationship advice, with realistic outlooks instead of bluepilled chit you will get from most people/places that teach men to be doormats.

There can be some good stuff sometimes anywhere.

I'm not sure I can express it well, but there is a difference between someone sharing what they are dealing with looking for support who is actively struggling and working to make it vs. someone who has embraced a victim identity and doesn't want to accept any responsibility- everything is someone else's fault.

I get the reverse here [mostly on economic topics- just try harder] when I'm wanting to have a conversation about what's going on and why. But with few exceptions [you can probably name them] most posters will engage on topics in an honest way and seem open to advice even when it is critical.The race stuff goes beyond "just talking chit" sometimes. Agree on the toxic content out there and I mostly just scroll by the violent stuff.

The misc hivemind honestly feels like one of the last places where you can find out about current events in an unbiased way. The biggest downside to this is when you realize how completely dumbed down and smooth brained the majority of people are including your own family. And to top it off you don't want to aware them of this place for obvious reasons so I mostly just try to avoid getting into heated debates with people who still get all their news from MSM sources.
