Where do you shop for athletic fit clothes?

I'm talking about casual/dress wear - not fukkin gym clothes

I went to buy some shirts this weekend and gave up after a bunch of stores because of their fits.

BRB chest too tight
BRB stomach way too lose
BRB shoulder size wrong

I fukkin hate how clothes are made for fat people. Where do you shop for athletic fit shirts (preferably not just t-shirts)?

I buy UA shorts with the soft waistband because they are comfortable AF.. but as far as shirts are concerned I pick them up cheap when and where I can... Ross , Marshalls , TShirthell.com (when they have bundle sales) etc. etc.... buy XL Shirts because they generally fit well around the stomach / waist and just cut the sleeves off. But I genuinely don't give a fk what anybody else thinks about it at the gym anymore so there's that

I bought a couple athletic shirts from Old Navy a few years ago. Medium talls. They fit very well. However when I check their selection now it's either gay pink shirts or some weird design I would expect to see in a ****** at the gym.

Tall sizes is what I would be looking for. In4 answers

I've noticed in the last 3 years or so the, the sizing for shirts has gone up a half size....

What used to be "large" now feels almost like how the XL's used to fit...

I recently bought a medium long sleeve shirt and it fit perfectly.... mind blown.

I boredom bought a 3 pack of T shirts from True Classic Tees. They fit me perfect and fairly cheap.

What type of clothing are we talking about here? For dress clothes I went a few different routes to ensure a proper fit. The first was buying dress shirts and having them tailored for about $10-15/ea. The side seam of a shirt can easily be taken in up both sides and that actually flows all the way into the armpit and down the sleeves. I would buy nice shirts that were more of a classic/American fit and have them tailored. Dress pants was harder because I needed a 34-36" waist and the legs of a 40+" pant. Taking in the waist of a bigger pant was not effective because of pocket positioning, inseam, leg taper, etc......

That led me to MTM (made to measure) primarily from overseas (Hong Kong has a thriving market for online MTM men's wear). I measured properly tailored shirts, pants and suits and over time found a few companies I would order from through the years. They would send fabric swatches and with each order I tweaked my measurements to find what worked for me until I had it pretty locked in and could comfortably order a dozen shirts at a time with the confidence they would fit perfectly. Compared to any halfway decent off the rack goods available domestically the value is surprisingly good....

Mostly casual/dress clothes. Like date night clothes, ya know? Not super casual like t-shirts, but not dress shirts either (since I can get those tailored pretty easily). Should I just look at getting all custom-tailored clothes, even t-shirts, polos, etc?

I have noticed that for many brands “athletic fit” means EXTRA tight around the arms and shoulders.

When I first saw the “athletic fit” tag I thought “finally!”… but then, LMAO
