exciting new squat bar at my gym
It's padded on three sides so it gives your neck and shoulders a little hug. Feels comfy like a couch. Looks fancy and expensive.
I hope it wasn't just some dude's piece of equipment. I hope it's there when I go today.

I have one. They're a nice change of pace, and they really make your upper back work.

Pretty sure most gyms have them
The first thing I'd do was take it off and throw it on the ground, then look around to shame the pussy who was using it

I hope it wasn't just some dude's piece of equipment. I hope it's there when I go today.

I also found a short bar for overhead presses, a weirdly bent bar for if I want to tear my biceps, a "deadlift" bar with a blue sticker on it. Maybe that one is heavier than a normal bar? I dunno. There's always so much to learn. Techniques, equipment ... just lol at those normies who say it doesn't take brains. Lots of nutrition components to learn also.lol at needing pads on the bar for squatting.

That's the only bar I use at my home gym. One of the equipment adjustments I made after injuries...If your shoulder has issues they can help.
Some people hate them, but imo it just takes a little getting used to. They are heavy and a pain to move around, though.

2. If you are legitimately wanting to remove the extra tension on the upper back, why are you using the bar in the first place? If it's to save you some shoulder pain, then do you. But I still wouldn't understand going out of your way to take away some of the benefits of an exercise.

Still don't know for sure but it would be pretty crazy to haul that massive piece inside the gym every day. Then again during covid I had to bring my own plyo box because they told me I couldn't move the benches around.
