“Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s in-ring return at WWE WrestleMania 38 appears to be REAL

Attitude Era fnatics gtfih!

It appears to be happening according to Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez.

His opponent will be KO Kevin Owens if he really has agreed to wrestle one last time.

Austin has been saying for years he can wrestle again but he never has returned and no interest because he wanted to be able to go fishing and hunting without physical pain.

His last match was in 2003 against The Rock at Wrestlemania 19 where he lost.

Come on now-he turned down one last match against Hogan & who knows who else over the last 18 odd years. Why would he wrestle an outlaw mudshow upper-mid card goof? If he was to come back at nearly 60 it would have to be special-Hogan, Lesnar, Reigns, Cena.

Don't bother-remember when Bret came back after a decade out? Memories of what was are far better than nightmares of what reality is now.

Looking pretty good for 68

Can not wait to see him kick a little ass in the ring

He and hogan would’ve been a train wreck.
And both men had a professional dislike for each other so neither man would take a pinfall from the other.

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns will still go on stage last at wm38.

Like movies, tv shows, books, also not real/is stage. At its best it’s one of the goat forms of entertainment.

That

I’d only watch it if cool stuntmen like Sting or Jeff hardy came back

Both are getting old as **** and can’t do stunts like in their prime

Jeff hardy is 45 and Sting has to be in his 60s

It's not the same though cause you go to an actor and they show behind the scenes and no actor would be offended if you said the movie "isn't real" but there are many wrestlers who get offended when someone says it's not "real". LOL

If it was real we wouldn't watch it. Two guys rolling around for hours with nothing happening failed to excite audiences in the old days, at which point it either became a work, or it was made more entertaining.

Maybe, but it was a dream match & would have been a huge payday-the first time he turned it down he faced Hall & that was a mess, while Hogan & Rock constructed a classic-just like Austin could have done with him. How is Owens a good fit for him style wise working a hundred miles an hour, or as a star? He is a name, but Austin has always said it would have to be a huge star/dream match to lure him back.

Not modern wrestlers-they do everything they can to make it clear it isn't. But the old school guys kayfabed everything-if a heel was in a bar or restaurant & the babyface walked in they would leave immediately or vice versa. Wrestlers legit when selling serious injury angles would actually go into hospital & pretend they were hurt to the doctors & walk around wearing a neck brace or pretend they were blind like JYD when he had stuff put in his eyes so people would think it was legit. Nowadays they get piledriven off the top of a cage & are back up 20 seconds later fine or are taken out on a stretcher on the Sunday PPV & then the next night are on television fine as if nothing happened. If fans ever walked up to a wrestler back in the day & said he was fake they ended up knocked out or stretched-it was their livelihood & if fans thought they were a pussy word would get round & attendance would drop.

Jeff Hardy only just left WWE. Sting is currently in AEW aged 62.

Austin has been focused on training and his diet. 5 meals a day. The protein shake. 2 cups of rice post workout.

I watch both mma and wrestling. Both professions are highly entertaining. Andre arlowski, Amanda Nunes, Ronda rousey Brock, Paige van ant and Jorge masvidal are all in either aew or wwe storylines now.

Antonio inoki is responsible for the creation of mma . But in Japan it’s treated as a sport and results are in the sports section of their news alongside baseball, sumo, martial arts, etc.

Last match was 19 years ago. Really didn’t expect to hear he was coming back but I might watch. Low expectations though.
