It's all autistic referencing. It's like their personalities and humor and creativity is entirely based around making collages and slightly tweaking the content they collaged.
This is a big contrast to, say, a George Lucas who took things he liked and invented something new out of them. (Star Wars is like cowboys and kung-fu and samurai movies, reinvented into sci-fi.)
Or J R R Tolkien making his own fantasy world based on mythology. And George R R Martin making his own world based on fantasy tropes started by J R R Tolkien. This is where it started getting a bit post-modernist, but George became a master craftsman, developed skill in various fields. Kids now just post memes or screw with filters.
There's no effort in the Gen Z craft. They just either make goofy faces at their phone cameras, or do meme collages and "sh!tpost." It's like they're all so desperately ironic all the time they actually turn autistic from that desperate need to be constantly snarky.

Similar to what they did with art and beauty objectivity and all that.
Gen Z has no real objectivity or standards for humor. So they find what I posted in the video absolutely hilarious, yet they don't really find traditionally-based humor (what we are used to) funny at all. Like post modernity on steroids at this point.

What the phuck? I thought millennial sense of humor, with the internet age and everything, was peak autism. This blows all my chit straight out of the water.

Like mumble rap fans calling anything that takes slight skill "Old Heads." Or "Butt Rock" being the word for any music with a competent guitarist and vocalist that isn't some sterile Foo Fighters ****gitry.
They can't create anything themselves, so they destroy...or, in Gen Z post-post-modernist humor...mock the works of others. It's all pure cowardice. Just like cancel culture / struggle sessions. These people can't learn to compete, so they want to cancel or plagiarize the competition. Big reason I think memes were played out even 10 years ago.
