Got really hooked on this series lately, after watching the 2nd season bought all the books and starting the 3rd book tomorrow.

I only watched the 1st season and golden compass then felt a little like it wasn't really my thing then gave the 2nd season a try and it got way darker, way more philosophical and a much better story line than GoT. Then I was hooked and bought the books and read the first 2 in a week. Accidentally spoiled what happens to Lord Asrial in the end andSpoiler!

Its too bad it didn't get a bigger budget and more following. Also surprised more miscers haven't talked about this series as it seems more up their ally being pretty anti religion, anti fear, pro free choice/free will, pro hedonism, and like I said lots of philosophical stuff the more you get into it.

Its kind of similar to Lost and Lord of the rings except way more epic and adult.
