This is a nice distraction so that the western world can rollback pandemic restrictions without any news media reporting on the big failure that the restrictions have been. One day a good portion of the population will wakeup in a world without restrictions but won't have noticed anything changing.

It's like when you want your kid to put something down so you distract him with a toy so he drops it, then hand him the toy so he doesn't even notice he's being tricked.

Not saying there won't be a war of some kind but there's no reason for the media in the US to be so incredibly invested in reporting it. It's regional and there are many things to report on here that actually impact us, like record inflation due to government mismanagement of the economy, business closures and shutdowns due to government mismanagement of the economy/"pandemic", inability to find employees due to government mismanagement of the economy, supply chain issues due to both US and international government mismanagements, etc... Meanwhile the government will rollback restrictions and let the economy begin to fix itself while distracting us with this world war narrative until one day we wake up and the economy is better, but most importantly nobody noticed what fixed it so whatever side is in power can now claim responsibility for it.

The only reason a major war or World War 3 can take place in such a sophisticated and a modernized era is if there is a lack of resources and to pursue such rare commodities the war will be obvious.
