Anyone know of a good traffic alert app?

I take the interstate and every once in awhile there's some accident that causes some serious slowdown, but once I get on that interstate it's borderline impossible to take a detour. Are there any good apps that would send me an alert if there was a crash or some major slowdown on my daily route?

k just installed Waze. Based off a glance it seems like just a navigation app that only gives me traffic alerts if I start it up and ask for navigation. Will it send me an alert "Crash on Highway X, use alternate route" or something similar, even when the app isn't open?

Idk why people say waze like it’s some amazing app that’s different from the iPhone maps or google. I’m not pushing any map but they all share the same data these days.

I use my iPhone and get alerts on traffic, speed stops, accidents, cameras, etc.

Just googled and as I thought, waze was bought by google in 2013.

It’s like using Venmo when you think it’s some different platform but is actually PayPal.
