Do you live in a constitutional carry state?

Here in Texas we can conceal carry or open carry legally without a permit.

“As of June 16, 2021, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota (residents only; concealed carry only), Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee (handguns only), Texas, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming do not require a permit to carry a loaded concealed firearm for any person of age who is not prohibited from owning a firearm.”

Can you do this anywhere else in the world?

Sadly nope, but it's actually not that hard to get a CCW in most counties here surprisingly.

Law Enforcement are exempt from the law, and there was a week or 2 were standard magazines were legal to buy due to a lawsuit (before it got shot down) so if you bought during that time you can keep those ones.

The hand gun roster is more garbage, glad I'm exempt, or I couldn't buy anything neat. Can buy off roster as PPT but huge mark up over retail for that.

Nah, Jersey. Nope, mag always has to be pinned at 10 rounds. Honestly don't know if I could do 10+1. I don't see why not but I wouldn't risk it in this state. TECHNICALLY, we can carry since we are a 'may issue' but the only people who really get the license are the ones who have connections or have money

We're all waiting for the Supreme Court vs NY case that would decide if 'may issue' is unconstitutional. If NY loses then NJ will most likely follow and we can carry. It's looking like NY will lose but now they're trying to pass laws to make it illegal to carry guns in certain places (subways, buses, parks, stadiums, x feet from a certain building, etc) to get ready. Which will make it essentially pointless to carry because you can't go anywhere anyway.

When I think of Jersey all I think about is the sopranos lol

And damn I didn’t know it was that hard to get a license. You can’t conceal carry in NY even with a license right?

NYC and upstate are two different things.

To get a CCW in NYC you basically need to be a high ranking politician, retired cop, or "friends" with a judge. Hence the lawsuit (the basis is why can't an upstanding citizen living in a violent, high crime area carry for personal protection when Robert DeNiro has no issues getting a permit?)

The rest of the state varies by county. If your county gives you an unrestricted permit (CCW) you're good to carry statewide excluding NYC. NYC permits are valid statewide though.

In NJ, it's illegal to pump your own gas and I think you need a permit to get a shotgun. Jersey is worse than California.

Law abiding citizens can’t carry guns when criminals are carrying them all the time. Sad.

I’ve even heard of people with a CCW in a different state being arrested in NY

Not all CCW permits are reciprocal between states, it's why I qualify through work, Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act means my CCW is accepted in most states and I have some additional protections.

I think Utah was the one most widely recognized but I may be wrong on that.

If you get non-resident permits in Utah, Florida and Arizona you're covered in about 34 states. Plus if you live in a restrictive state and get a resident CCW you'll be covered there too. 34 includes states with constitutional carry for non-residents.

Nationwide CCW reciprocity is probably something you'll see in front of the supreme court in the next few years tbh. States can't make laws that contradict the constitution and demanding a lawful citizen be unarmed within the entire state while offering them no way to be armed is unconstitutional. At best, they'll force states to offer non-resident permits on a will issue basis if the case gets taken up.

I do yes. When pandemic started I saw alot of open carrying.
I don't do it. But I always conceal.

Werd. Street thugs and criminals carry a pistol like normal people carry their phone. The law has no meaning to them.

Liberal gun laws just put the power in the hands of the criminals.

Yeah, plus mobs literally took over whole sections of cities and police did fuk all. Imagine being unfortunate enough to live in Chaz and having your door booted in? The Po Po aren't coming to save you.

Liberal gun laws are written by morons who don't understand that:

1. It's already illegal for a felon to be armed (and the ones that are armed don't care if they're breaking an extra law)
2. The chit they propose so it looks like they're doing something makes no fking sense. "Woah, cutting a rifle barrel down to two inches will make it super effective! What do you mean it'll be less accurate and nowhere near as powerful? That's some nazi anti-science bull**** right there!"

Mind, most liberal laws are there to assist criminals. You think they'd look at the places they control and spot the pattern.
