I can't imagine actually giving a chit about video game awards. Just LMAO @ the whole concept and everything about it.

Elden ring is going to win easily. Its not going to lose to samey sequels. Its this years breath of the wild. Not just extremely good but something that feels fresh

Very possible and I'm rooting for it but I definitely see a few flaws that aren't really mentioned in reviews. It will be interesting to see what the consensus is after the hype calms down a bit.

Every game has flaws, the critics are the ones who vote and they've already spoken. I just can't see anything else being this good or well received

I’m hoping the first open World sonic the hedgehog game is good and I’m mildly excited about it. But I usually am for every new sonic game sega makes and been letdown before.

I generally am optimistic about future games after devs put out a poor game IF their previous work was good. But Sonic Team have not put out a good sonic since Sonic Colors in 2010 and Sonic Generations in 2011

and just making it open world will not make this new one good. It needs to actually be good lol. It being open world has no impact on that.

Sonic Colors was great but it’s very rare they nail a sonic game that good. Running in sonic I liked, and the noise of collecting every single coin, backed by the fast soundtrack with those candy glitter poppy colors everywhere was an addictive thrill man.

I preordered sonic and the secret rings. I was greatly anticipating that game then it released and scored below average. I didn’t bother by black knight.

And you are correct on that. I’m not trying to say open world automatically makes it a good game. It just felt worth noting it’s the first sonic game if it’s kind. Don’t know how else to describe it. Maybe I’ll call it “just another sonic the hedgehog game”!!!! Nah lol “the next sonic game” it is like it’s nothing special or anything different about it

yea I guess I mean it can go either way.
-Like Elden Ring or MGS V or BOTW or Halo Infinite, when they took their respected franchises from linearish to open world and succeeded.
-or not go well at all. unfortunately I can't think of any examples right now lol.
