Putins ego is massive and youd be dumb to think he'd back down till theres Russian flags flying all throughout Kyiv. Wild to see all these war memes on social media and no one really taking anything seriously.

It pretty much is accurate. He wants a place in history as great leader of Russia. That's the motivation.

It's being taking pretty seriously in certain circles. Many are worried this is going to cause inflation in 2022 to be worse than 2021 as gas prices soar, while others fear the effects from the planned fed rate hikes, assuming they even have the balls to do it.

Then there is the effect this is having on the image of the west, US and NATO. We all look weak letting the Russians have their way on a sovereign nation. The west is no better than the passengers who recorded a women being rapped in a philly subway and did nothing to help. Or countless other horrific events where bystanders opted to record when they were perfectly capable of helping
