lol @ officels that are proud of doing nothing while at 'work'
It amuses me when white collar people gleefully announce how they get away with doing nothing all day at work. Like how is that rewarding in any type of way? At some point, humans are wired to seek fulfillment by way of seeing the fruits of your labor. They are proud of ... what?
I cannot wrap my brain around someone putting in 8 hours of work and at the end of the day not being able to say that they accomplished something, anything. That's just not mentally a healthy thing.

Most people who work in an office actually do some type of work during the day but there tends to be a good amount of downtime. Seeing your paycheck is when you feel accomplished

so much wasted potential. imagine sitting in your cubical watching the world pass you by for 25.60 an hour, meanwhile you could be out risking it all, building a profitable business, and feeling satisfied with the life you build. But MuH cHeCk.
Let this sink in...Tradies who own their buisiness are raking in 100's of dollars on each job. Imagine doing a simple electrical outlet install for $500. It takes you 2 hours from start to finish with like $50 worth of material. The rest is profit until biden takes his share. Either way, you are absolutely smoking a wagecuck that basically won't even clear $250/day. Just LMAO!! Guys who mow lawns are making 50-100 a cut, depreciating all of their equipment, and raking in the dough, working for themselves, getting excercise. Meanwhile you are working for a 200lb hambeast of a woman named sue who keeps emailing you asking for your TPS reports. You're SUES BICHHH. Wake up dudes.

The worst is when you work 10-12 hour day's, make great money (for the area) and never feel fulfilled.......Ask me how I know. I get my feeling of fullfillment from working on my project car and building chit on the weekends. My job pays the bills, funds my hobbies and affords me the lifestyle I choose to live. Work hard now, invest and then I'll chill out a bit when I'm 50.
I've got a buddy that works on base here, civil side and literally does nothing all day. Braggs about it and is always talking about how he spends his money and things he's planning on getting. We were all hanging out one Friday night and he told me he can't believe they pay him $47k/year (which is about the average HOUSEHOLD income in this area) to literally sit at work and do nothing all day and asked me why I have such a busy/stressful job.........I think I ruined his night when I told him "I'm just not wired to feel like I've been useless all day" then told him that with bonus, Ill make $116K this year. He has since stopped bringing money up around me.

Not everyone is some passionless loser who has to try and get fulfillment out of what they have to do to make ends meet. My sense of achievement comes from my hobbies and interests outside of my job. Job is for paycheck bro

I worked for a home builder after college back in 07-08. When the market started crashing, I had like 3 hours of work a week, and I was supposed to make it look like I had 40. Was boring af and makes you feel worthless. Well, I was worthless, as I and 90% of my office got laid off after a few months of this.
Small business owner now, and basically I work when thereโs work to do, and do other things with my life when there isnโt. No officecel life for me.
