Long time for things to ‘sink in’

Major life events, people dying, the pandemic, terrorist attacks, annexation of the Ukraine.

12 months later, I say to myself “I can’t believe that actually happened”. Not sure if retarded or stoned.

Anyone else find it takes a while before things seem real?

What’s the term for this?
