How badly affected are you by Shane Warne's tragic death?

He was one of the greatest cricketers the world has ever seen, an icon and legend, especially in my country (Australia). I remember used to bowl 1000s of times trying to emulate him as a kid

When I first heard the news, I could not believe it. I was praying for it to be a hoax or a troll article. I searched up his name and to my shock and horror, all the reputable news companies were writing about his death at age 52.

It felt like a knife has been plunged into my heart. I have not eaten or slept since the news. I feel broken, shattered, and empty. Could not even get out of my bed properly, let alone go to the gym.

Today is a very dark day, not just for cricket fans, or even sports fans, but humanity as a whole.

Good bye my friend. You will be missed

How are you guys doing after hearing the awful news? We will get through this together, stay strong

I saw it on my phone and thought "shane warne died"

And havnt thought about it since.

The same as the death of anybody else that dies an early death - 52 is too young IMO. From 52 to 70 is a long time and a man can accomplish so much.

I think Shane's death will impact many of those who do not even care about cricket, similar to how Kobe's death made the world sad, or Muhammad Ali. This man was so much bigger than just cricket and transcended the sport

Pretty bad-just like when Deano died in late 2020 & Marshall in 1999 aged just 41. Feel really sorry for the old Aussie cricketers yesterday getting together to mark the 41st anniversary of the underarm incident-Rod Marsh who would have been there passing away the night before & then Warne dying that day.

I got a couple of ACB yellow balls in 2001-one was seam, the other spin which was endorsed by Warne. They had numbers on for where to place your fingers & instructions.
