Posts only go back two years (srs) Misc is ruined (I’m out)

Just went through my post history, got to page 79 and the last post is dated 3-05-20.

System automatically discards posts older than two years to the day.

I used to go back 10 years for lulz and reminisce. Misc is truly fukn dead.

Makes me want to leave srs. I’m out srs

vBullentin forums like the misc were outdated as a platform by 2008. The misc is one of a kind in lasting as long as it has. The misc isn't going anywhere until the main site itself dies off, because they haven't spent a dollar on the forums since 2014 anyway.

In the old days, people ordering sups from here would ocassionally get hand written notes of misc phrases/trolls and chit slipped in by warehouse workers. That's how tight knit, yet big of a community it was. Chit like that made people enjoy doing business with them.

Then they turned into every other corperate clown show site that fails at trying to be amazon at their own game.

Same man. BB.com scrubbed basically all of the old threads from existence in mid-2021. The only ones that remain are multi-page “chat” threads. It’s a fkin travesty I agree because I also used to go back and reminisce on the old days. I would basically use misc as my personal diary too so those moments are gone. So many memories erased forever. Fuaaark.

Problem with reddit is that once subs get to a certain size, it becomes just like any other reddit sub (infested with hivemind thinking, forced positivity and other ****gitry that's reinforced by power-tripping neckbeard mods and site admins). I noticed that nobodies post counts changed when the threads went. Surely that means they still exist right?

I wasn't aware of the cached method. Before, the best way I found to search the misc was google with (search term) site:forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com. now if I don't have it bookmarked I'm fukked.

LOL. Seriously, instead of just killing it, they let it slowly bleed dry. It's been so weird since it was closed off too. And people still talk about reps like it means anything. It's just a bizarre circle jerk at this point.
