Just bought a 98 Civic because of Biden's gas prices.

Parking my 2020 2500 and only using on snow days and pulling my heavy stuff.
Thanks libs. Now I know what it feels to drive a ****gy shi÷box like yours.

Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that he just came into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust!

Literally why I bought an NB Miata in 2010 -- 2300 pounds and can run any octane 87-93 with an aftermarket timing wheel.

Edit:
Going to convert to Flex Fuel with swirl pot in the future, so I can mix different octanes and run a higher one at the track.

Bought an Elantra 1yr ago because the truck (CC 6/5 bed F150) stopped making sense to drive all the time.

Just use the truck for home depot runs.

If there’s one positive about these fuel prices it’s that maybe the prices of HD pickups might go down. Just ordered an f550 Friday for $65,000, which is pretty reasonable considering an f450 was close to $90,000.

Saving money on gas is a bonus but keeping my truck out of the high mileage club is the biggest bonus.

I saw a dude with a Civic coupe similar to the ones in the original Fast and the Furious not too long ago. Manuel transmission and all.

Took a look inside and talked to him and it was mint. To be perfectly honest I was kind of mirin his little 4 cylinder daily driver. Dude had a F350 on 44" tires in the drive and his wife drove a Rover.





I have a work Explorer (gas is paid for) and a GMC 1500. Though most of the time I'm on a MC. If I were going to need a cheap gas commuter I'd probably be on the look out for an S2000. TBH I don't need it but if I ever run across a good deal on one I'll probably pic it up for nostalgia sake.

This isn't far off, though OP may as well buy like a 2015+ asian car. Most get around 30+ MPG.

I'm pretty sure I could sell it right know for $4k. Prob $5k this summer when gas is $5/gallon. So it's at the bottom of the depreciation curve. The guy had 15 people behind me wanting it.

This little ****box, assuming nothing goes wrong, will save me 90 gallons a month. At $4/gallon that's over three fidy a month

Would of gotten a motorcycle OP.
50+ mi gallon, can park anywhere, weave through traffic, lane split, hella fun..
I have a 4x4 Ram Rebel that gets 17 mpg. But if it’s above 60 degrees..it typically always is in CA, I’m on my bike.

Gotta drive my cargo van about 350 miles a week @ ~12 miles/gallon crew. Glad I raised my rates by $100/mo to clients last fall, the $2000/mo pay increase is helping offset the gas/food assrape prices. Feel bad for folks who can't just bump up their income like this.

Interesting the perspective. I ran an NB for 7 years and at 32mpg it is a thirsty beast by modern euro standards. My dad's 10yo A3 will get 60mpg on a run.
