You know a lot of that has to do with the fact that the value of the ruble cratered vs Western currency, right? Everything in Russia right now is going to look super cheap denominated in foreign currency. That doesn't make it cheap to Russians.

I do not eat McDonald's but that's what it was last I checked.

For the people who say they will run out of stuff, they do have a strong GDP.

Big label western goods are already overpriced there mostly, with some exceptions.

Still, their milk and meat and many other products are sourced locally and is often less than it is here.

Part of our problem and why our prices are so high are the social programs, the hoarders and our wealthy, they cause this inflation. It is like that 400lb person you may know, these people want and consume more than they need and that makes it more expensive for all of us.
