Just a rant. Want to give people a "told you so" about inflation.
About a year ago and people were discussing the extra unemployment money, stimuluses , and other handouts being given out and there were threads not only here but other places such as social media. I said that there would be a lot of inflation coming because historically that's what happens when you print money. I was told that wasn't true, and that I don't know what I am talking about, and even had someone with a finance degree basically school me about how it worked. People were saying "what about those who need it" and that I should be happy for them. I got blocked from a lot of these conversations.
But now here we are. Can't even do a "told you so" because the same idiots are now doubling down that the printing of money had nothing to do with it and give all kinds of other reasons for why prices have gone up. Honestly I don't even want to say anything let alone argue, or even offer any facts. People want to believe whatever they want to believe and there really isn't much hope for them. Just scary how large of a portion of the population they make up. I'm turning into a grumpy old man who just doesn't give a fuk. I have no room in my mind nor any empathy for the suffering of most people who damn well put themselves where they are every day.

It's not like everyone being an idiot is a new thing. It's just becoming more blatant, no reason to get jaded

Governments have been getting their servants to deny their own senses for awhile. Now is no different than when they convinced you that the sun is 400x larger than the moon, yet appear the same size. For a second be open and think how long these mind games have been going on?

Funny thing is that we're just getting started with the whole inflation thing. It's gonna get a lot worse in my honest opinion and people will die. I know it sounds like a pessimist but this is usually how these things go. With rising gas prices and Russia essentially cutting the West off of much needed fertilizer, we will see prices go even higher in supermarkets. I recently read that the Canadian Government isn't ruling out giving out subsidies to companies in order to tackle rising prices i.e. more inflation. (If I'm not mistaken that is)
People voted for this. They had a chance to steer the ship and yet people went out and voted for idiots. Idiots who printed money and put in place lockdown after lockdown. We deserve this as a society and I hope those who voted for these idiots feel some degree of pain for their recklessness. I would encourage all miscers to stock up on supplies if you haven't already and to be prepared for things to go into turbo max. I'm going out this week to buy much needed supplies that will last me and those close to me at least a few months.

It’s a combination of cost-push inflation (e.g. oil) plus money printing plus government stimulus plus the economic recovery getting underway and potentially wage claims from unionisation
But yeah money is basically worthless at this point
People who lived through the previous ruble devaluations have seen it all before

Yeah unfortunately people are too sheep like to even understand. They will blame it on covid. I will blame it on policies put in place during COVID, like printing money and stagnating the economy. Some people literally are not capable of grasping concepts.

We've been barely surviving (if you consider slowly dying) for a long time now. 2008 gave the illusion that it was working. Plebs really gonna go and say "it was working you were always wrong!!!!"

I'm gonna play devils advocate and argue there are other functions causing inflation.
1. Our dependence on manufacturing, namely from china. China shut down entire provinces over just a few cases of COVID. Provinces that produce, fertilizer, chips and other goods. As their factories lie idle inventories and supply diminish. Supply goes down cost goes up, elementary level economics
2. Increased cost of energy. The price of every good we consume is tied to the amount and cost of energy used to produce and ship said item. When you increase the price of energy(gas) you also increase the cost to produce items and ship items.

I knew there was no way this didn't all come back to bite us in the ass, but everyone was always saying "we gotta save lives! and do you not care about the old and sick?". Because no one wants to think of the costs down the road. The negatives of those policies will be felt for years to come.

The less you know about something the easier it is to doubt it exists. If that measurement is incorrect than what is the correct one? If you don't know, then how are you sure it's incorrect in the first place?
If it wasn't correct it would very easily be disproven by counter measurements and calculations. That's how science and math work. Im noy saying to trust science blindly
but some things are just so easy to prove/disprove that they wouldn't be useful to misinform people.

Or maybe check some of the equipment we use to calculate these numbers.
Somethings just dont add up. It's easy to see the stuff going on today, but honestly how long do you think these government/churches have been playing these mind games? How long have they been in a fight to keep the servant in servitude?
