Doesn't matter. My gf is a sales executive for a big internet security company and makes like 15x more than me. I do pretty well too. It's fun, we get to travel a lot and do fun things together. Be thankful op, just don't treat her different or get insecure. Thats one way to ruin a good relationship over money.

Nah. Been married 17 yrs and for 15 of them I mogged the wife in earning.

Then she opened another hair salon, and got into real estate. within 2 yrs, she has sold 11 houses..all of her clients that she does hair for have used her..she has tripled what I make. But I got us to where we are now.

TBH it all depends on her, as well as how you act with it.

I've heard stories regarding both extremes. One where the GF makes more than the guy and the GF herself starts to resent the BF especially if he isn't at least trying to continue to improve, and signs of failure or laziness is a turn off, she cheats or breaks up. Another story where the GF makes more than the guy, and zero issues, marriage happens and the guy has the better end of the stick if divorce were to ever happen.

EDIT:

Just remember your debts, income, net worth, aren't shared even when you're engaged, only once married. Don't count the chickens before they hatch. Don't make financial decisions together until post-marriage.
