Turned $3000 into $100k+ dollars trading penny stocks last year AMA

Didn't know a single thing about stocks, YOLO'd the last 3000 bucks in my bank account (literally) into a stock called SNDL end of 2020 and turned it into 10k within a few weeks, then began obsessing over social media all day everyday to learn the market sentiment at the time and to research very low cap stocks (trading for sub pennies) that were about to gain momentum before people knew about them. Figured out within a few weeks that finding catalysts early, no matter how ****ty the stock, was the single most important factor for making gains since social media and promoters mainly pushed ****ty stocks with very near term catalysts. I recognized this and took my gains before they inevitably dumped with a high success rate. Obviously the more capital I made, the easier it got to flip larger amounts. Although most of my trades were much smaller gainers, with some being large. Biggest single gain i've made was flipping $10,000 into $35,000 on one stock.

Made 100s of trades cant post them all but these are some examples of some good gainers:






etc etc, some of it was luck, some of it was coincidental timing of prime market conditions for OTC market, some of it was pure dedication (12+ hours a day researching for atleast 6 months straight, yes unemployed)

And yes, taxes are going to suck this year for me

thanks brah, unfortunately OTC stocks went to **** after SEC cracking down on social media ppl plus economic impacts, so large gains like these are rare these days. But they do happen. ELEK being a prime example of a recent large gainer, although I wasn't in that one unfortunately

As someone who's been trading every day the market's been open for the past 3 years: you'll lose it all if you don't come up with a real strategy. Dead ****ing serious. Last year was a raging bull market where every idiot made money by holding otcs.

It wasn't like that before, and it's not like that anymore.

It's not a consistent method, I literally said this was because of the market condition directly after COVID. From winter 2020 to spring 2021 there were 100%-1000% runners every week, it was nuts. I simply stated how I made that work for me during volatility

For the most part no because the market was on fire during that time, so volume was rarely dry until the massive dumps came. THEN it became hard filling orders, but 95% of the time I sold during volume spikes even if it continued going higher. There were times I missed on 50-150% more gains from selling too early but you could never time it perfectly so that's okay

Highly unlikely this continues to scale, you're right. Post COVID markets were something else. It has significantly died down since then. For me, I'm going to focus on TA and day trading with much smaller amounts now that I have the capital to play with. On the bright side I bought a decent 20k car last year with some of the funds

This is true, most people have lost their gains by now. I took my profits and ran, but i'm still using a smaller portion for risky investing. The rest will go toward a 123 swing trading style as that's what interests me in this type of market, but twitter/stocktwits remains a very good way to indicate potential runners imo
