I'm thinking between our stealth fighters/bombers, cruise missiles, A-10 warthogs, Javelins, Stingers, Sherman tanks, drones, regular Army, Marines, Seals and on and on, considering our guys will be better supplied/fueled and all volunteer fighters not conscripts, I don't think regular Russian army would last a week.
All of their planes and airfields probably get taken out first day. Ukraine has been an absolute chit show and I think it is obvious if they weren't sitting on thousands of nukes no one would even take the Russians seriously. No doubt China with their 1.4 billion people would wreck them as well.

Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way but, in 20 years if you're still here postin' in hhhnnnggg threads, beggin' for mod reps, and braggin' about whales you harpooned from POF, I'll f'in kill ya. That's not a threat, that's a fact, I'll f'in kill ya. You got somethin' none of us have, and you don't owe it to yourself man, you owe it to me. Cuz tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'll be red, and I'll still be a socially awkward/FA. And that's all right.

I am truly shocked at the poor planning, poor logistics and poor morale of their army. I get that the first wave was mostly conscripts (basically cannon fodder) but gatdamn, they were sent in blind with no clear instructions on what their objective is.
At least give those boyos enough food and water to last more than a few days.... and at the very least, give them food rations that arent expired. There's a video on youtube of Ukrainian soldiers finding MREs that were expired since 2013 being given to Russian soldiers as food rations.

War is a fundamentally unpredictable phenomenon and most soldiers have a special type of elan when defending their homeland against invasion. 160M population of Russia isn't the 300M population of the USSR (the last time they got invaded), but I think you'd have a very engaged population if such a war were to break out.
And frankly, Karl XII, Napoleon, Hitler, and several others have taught us that rule 1 page 1 of the book of war is that it is unwise to launch a land war in Russia.

Defense spending in this country is kind of a fickle mistress. I hate that we spend so much but at the same time I'm glad there is incentive for innovation to stay on top.
If it were a classic ground war in the WWII sense, I don't if the people serving now can stomach what comes with war so it could be close. I think the US would have to broaden the range of qualifications in the draft they would have to initiate.

I don't think so. Russia's a big country and they were able to hold their own against the Wehrmacht who were legit one of the most alpha armies in the history of the universe
Russia sucks at offensive wars but they are a different beast when playing defense. They'll be fine.

Without nukes? I wouldn't want to think of the loss of life. Especially to our white brothers. If it's big noses, African or Indian or middle eastern men getting red misted I wouldn't really care, but I don't wish any more white genocide getting rolled out by those fukkin jews in charge

We are the only one of the three major "armies" that actually perform preventive maintenance on our equipment. I've heard rumors of a lot of Russian vehicles getting flats etc. from lack of general maintenance. It's like a ghetto rich idiot (that can barely afford the purchase price of the car, but wants to show off, yet they can't maintain it properly).

Russia historically takes forever to mobilize
Ukraine is about to get BTFO in a the next week or two.
Also half of Ukraine is basically Russian anyways it’s not like they are fighting other people

By contrast the US suffered only 450k casualties.

America would most likely win bigly if it was on a neutral battlefield with the equipment both militaries have currently. As we are seeing in Ukraine, Russian troops are ill equiped, ill fed, vehicles breaking down, soldiers didnt even know they were going to war, etc.
If either actually invaded the other country, the win would go to the defender. Here in America the number of guns would be bolstered by the fact that just about everyone has one. Russia has it's winter and the fact that they will just throw every living soul into battle to defend their country. That's how they defeated Germany, the winter and overwhelming them with sheer numbers. Something like 80% of all Russian men born in 1926 were killed in WW2.

It seems that after all these decades, the Russian war strategy remains the same: send wave after wave of canon fodder conscripts until your enemy runs out of ammo and food...... and then send more waves of canon fodder at them.
Russia's population implosion is a direct result of them losing so many young men in WWII and the subsequent famines that followed.... You'd think by now Russia would learn to change to a different strategy than ordering their soldiers to blindly march right into enemy fire.....
At this point, Putin should realize the Ukrainian operation is already lost. He should focus all his energy on forcing young Russians to have more children to save their country and culture.
Russia is in desperate need of a Lebensborn project. No joke, Russia needs to start forcing young Russians to pump out a minimum of 4 kids each, or spend life in prison.

I don't mean to discount the ideas that the general staff of the USSR was absolutely savage and willing to absord huge losses during fixed battle, but this idea that the leadership of the Red Army was completely incompetent and the Germans (who were the superior fighting force, I don't disagree) were just taking them to task the entire time until Kursk and/or Stalingrad, is largely a fiction written by German irredentists after the war.
Three out of every four Germans killed during WWII died during Operation Barbarossa. The Russians (and Soviets in general) gave them hell brah.
I think Russia is taking more losses than they expected during the special operation in Ukraine, but I think this war is a long way from over.

The scene I'm referencing starts at about 8:43. The Russian officer is yelling "Two men go, one man has a rifle and shoots, when he is killed, the other man picks up the rifle and shoots". If/when the attacking Russians attempt to retreat they have machine gunners in the back to shoot down their own men for cowardice. Looks like not all that much has changed in Russia 80 years later, still can't supply their troops.

There were penal batallions (no homo) that were basically comprised of deserters and POWs that were sent to march across minefields and shot if they tried to run, but the actual Red Army was reasonably well supplied throughout the war thanks to western Lend-Lease that was going on from the first day of Barbarossa. They were not sending battalions of conscripts into battle with no weapons (I do think there is one actual recorded instance of this happening, but that corporal that ordered it was executed immediately after the battle, or maybe even during).

They would win-but it would be a hard fight with a lot of casualties as Russia is second only to the US in military might. Which is why it is usually a US/UK/France/Italy etc combined force.

Well, I don't know what would happen but judging by the history of Russian people and the European continent, don't think a lot would happen.
Unlike the US, Russia wasn't as lucky thriving on empty land surrounded by oceans while the rest of the world burned. Look at the history of Europe for the last 1000 years alone. War after war, rise and fall of multiple nations, one after another, on and on and on. So many great European and Asian powers, so many alliances to defeat Russia, never-ending struggle for power and land, and somehow ****tty Russia managed to survive and in most times thrive. You gotta be doing something right if you always end up on top.
I don't know what would happen but if it came to hand to hand combat and close combat, if you think some spoiled American fat fuks who are used to living in 1st world conditions are going to somehow occupy Russian people who are resilient as fuk and used to harsh geographical and economical environment, you're having a laugh.
