i bet a lot of them were expecting hbbs to greet them, warm bed, full tac-gear, then sent to a hospital or some chit to help the wounded or an outpost out of harm's way.
what they got were a bunch of angry/hardened ukranian men who were scary, a cot for a few days, rickety rifles w/ 10 bullets, and a participation t-shirt. told they were going right into the front lines and be bullet/shrapnel sponges.

Ukraine is short on men, so they are using the older USSR tatitic of sending men to the front line, get weapons later. I don't really blame them for doing this, as they have no choice. Either pick up a dead guys weapon, or take one from dead Russians.
But anybody that goes over there should realize this, and realize that you will be treated the same as any Ukrainian man that is in the military.

Can see the Ukrainian military welcoming these foreign fighters not realizing they are neckbeard Reddit larpers and then getting pissed when they aren’t ready to die in a war and want to desert their duty
You sign up to go into that battle then realize you are signing up for a WAR for the LOSING TEAM. It’s one thing to defend your mainland, but another to go somewhere else where the military is completely outclassed.
If you are willing to get involved in that conflict as an outsider just know what you are signing up for. A very likely death certificate.

What I've said from day one. Positive propaganda only benefits Ukraine for political reasons. No one likes a loser....ever notice how if a NFL team or whatever starts to do well there is a huge influx of fans? thats what UKR wanted from the rest of the world. They still want it.
Russia should have obliterated them from the get go though. had they done it already they wouldn't be slowly messing around.
