Does anyone train with their GF/wives?
My gf usually does workouts with body weight, kettlebells, light dumb bells etc, but she wants a new challenge now and wants me to help her with Using machines and whatbot
I gotta feeling she’ll slow me down. I don’t think she realises I train like a beast, she ain’t ready for my type of workout
Guys that train like animals, do you let your girls train with you???

Unless you’re a pretty high-level competitive lifter, I think you might be over estimating your beasthood.
I’ve trained with my kids for years. We change the weights between sets.
No big deal.

I tried hiking with an ex once and regretted the fuk out of that (Goddamn she was slow), I can only imagine how much worse the gym would be.

I didn’t mean that as a limitation. Not everybody wants to be a high-level lifter.
My point was - I guess it depends on what his goals are.
If his goal is to get a pump and get a good workout, it just ain’t that serious bro. But if he’s training for a powerlifting meet or something, then yeah you might not want to bring your girlfriend with you.

I was just curious to see what people’s experiences were. I don’t even like training with coworkers because they train like bitches (no disrespect to them) so I’m kinda in agreement with polaris ^

I'm curious as to what type of 'beastly' workout you do. That must be done alone and without weaker specimens following along. I'm assuming you use very light weight with short rest periods as that would be the main hang-up with a training partner.
I lift with my GF frequently. I bang out a set, drop the weights, she bangs out a set, add the weights, I hit my set, etc. Makes the workout flow better. Take about 60-90s rest in between sets ideally and it flows nicely.

Whenever I’ve gone to the gym with my girl I’ve done her workouts, but I think she’d be shocked working out with me

I tried it a couple times but I really do not like to conversate while lifting. I like headphones in music up and get lost in my head between sets then rage when lifting.
I am considering trying it again though. Probably be same results.
brb come over here with me, lets do this or that workout. What are we doing two weeks from now, lets talk about it?
