Why does no one talk about Gen x? srs
Whether it's online, media, etc. Have heard the following:
Boomers - leech generation, exported jobs, had life on easy
Millennials - safe space genertaion, avocado toast, in debt, cries about everything, self loathing
Zoomers - screen addicted, all want to be influencers, on the sexul spectrum, pronouns, etc.
Yet Gen X just wedged in there silently doing their job. Jealous tbh as they seem to be a good mix of can take a joke and have social skills like boomers, while being more in touch with the rest of the world and tech savvy like Millennials. Probably the last generation to make it without tech and coastal elites to brainwash them.

Say, ˹O believers,˺ We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his descendants; what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Allah we all submit.

Everyone likes to hate on boomers and millennials, but Gen X is probably the generation that has destroyed this country the most.
If "clown world" really kicked off in 2012 so, that was when Gen Xers were between 35 and 45 years old, the main influencers and newfound holders of power in the country.
Every time you see a Karen or a dickhead in their 50s, those are Gen Xers not Boomers. Gen Xers were raised by dirty hippies and and "liberated womyn." And they're the first generation born after the 1965 Immigration act, so they never saw the glory of what America once was.
They're also the parents of younger (the worse kind) Millennials and of Gen Z, so they're responsible for those shiitheads too.
Proud Xennial (1983) checking in, best of both gens and worst of neither. Proud parent of a Generation Alpha.

Your last paragraph sums it up. We knew the world before the lunacy brought on by technology and the economic consequences of globalization but unlike boomers we aren't completely out of touch and understand that society has undergone unimaginable changes so we can also relate to where the younger generations are coming from when they try to convince boomers that things aren't the same as when they were growing up.

X’rs probably had the best childhoods & society
I’m ‘92 all I know is security state and the video game/technology boom.
We also need to stop blaming generations for society’s problems. The direction we’re going is out of our control. This is just another way to divide people.

I’m proud to be gen X
Got to enjoy teen years without cellphones except tail end and those were the goat nokias. Didn’t even surge the web really until just out of high school. Would go out with friends and party and nobody that wasn’t there had a clue what was happening. Parents had to wait for you to call them so couldn’t track you down. No social media drama. I wish my kids could experience that world srs. It’s actually sad to think about they don’t.

I'm in my mid-thirties which makes me an early millennial and I identify more with GenX. Technology wasn't that ubiquitous and our school system wasn't infiltrated by the PC brigade. It's those ****gy late Millennials that gives the rest of us a bad name.

It’s interesting because when I was in college we studied our generation, Gen X, and the media said we were full of angst and feared marriage since many of our parents were divorced.
Then I recently looked up Gen X in Wikipedia and the successes we’ve had with entrepreneurship and technology were a huge surprise.
The “angst” was because of the grunge music we listened to in the 90s. That lasted about as long as the music.
I’m glad I went though high school and college without cell phones and social media. We actually talked face to face and made friends when we were waiting for classes to start.

I think the difference is most millennials had internet in their childhood, but not yet social media (huge difference), as well as being too young to comprehend the significance of 9/11. Trying to think of other major events that would separate the two groups - but younger millennials are definitely the ones who give the rest a bad rap

Because there is not much shyte to talk about GenX as it is one of the most successful generations in history. We put in work, revolutionized the world creating the digital era with massive leaps in technology. Later generations decided instead of working to continue advancing those technological gains, they would just use it to show everybody pictures of their butts. Granted that is a major advancement from sitting on the copy machine.

As a Gen Xer myself it’s because we are lost between the tech worlds and we are the heart of the workforce so the media and people in general have nothing to say about us.
Boomers struggle with tech and we’re the laziest generation.
Millenials and Gen z worship celebrities and are addicted to media.
Us Gen X’ers grew up with some tech but also used to play outside, call each other names and we just go about our day (for the most part).
Gen Z are usually children of Gen Xers so their may be some hope but I doubt it.
Millenials are the children of of Boomers and their is not a chance in hell that Millenials will ever really succeed. They went to college for worthless degrees, they are addicted to social media, they grew up with youtube so if they don’t travel to 80 counties in two years they consider themselves a failure.

The term a lot of other late Gen X/early Millennial posters are looking for is Xennial
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xennials
Born 1977~1983 or 1985. Last normal childhood, first tech late teenagers/early adulthood. Some memory of the 80s, with a true 90s kid childhood.

Zoomers and millennials won’t know what to do when the last great generation retires.
They’ll be too busy asking each other for handouts.

Late gen X checking in
We definitely had the best youth. It was like a mix of all the best parts of previous generations with a bit of futuristic tech thrown in
The 90s was peak civilization in the west. You could already feel the decline coming by the end of the 90s but it didn't really accelerate until the 2010s

LOL We torched Woodstock ffs. I still think that is a sore spot for the Baby Boomers, esp those still in power. They couldn't tame us so they went and turned the Millennial generation into the servile queefs they are today. Gen X was the generation that always knew what the word NO meant, whether on the receiving or giving end. Learned that from the WW2 gen dudes.
Unfortunately Gen X never sought to rule the world. None of us want to be president and we're stuck with the current bunch of draft dodging geriatrics vying for the job. Allah help us when millennial poster child AOC runs for prez.

Gen X checking in.
I think the reason Gen X is legit is because our grandparents were the Greatest generation and we got it from them (still no comparison obviously). Boomers were their offspring and they hated the Greatest generation because of it, could never live up.
Every generation after Gen X is ****ing garbage. Still, boomers are will go down in history as the WOAT, and they still aren't done wrecking house.
