Isn't it weird how your brain makes sounds inside itself?

Even if you put on headphones and crank the music up, your brain still makes noise. Even if you actively practice trying to focus on the music and let it drown out your thoughts, your brain will still try and talk. The most disturbing part is that it actually makes noise, that only you can hear. Try clicking your tongue, but inside your brain. Now try and do it louder.

When you talk with your mouth, the sound comes from air and vibration, where does the sound come from inside your brain???

but the thoughts come out as sounds. you can clearly play a song in your head.

the brain is a marvel srs. we won't ever be able to understand it fully. probably because of how unique every brain is.

There is still a sound, otherwise your wouldn't be speaking inside your brain. I understand if you don't get it. Please don't make this about reps, thanks.

What I'm really wondering though is where do they come from. Like how we produce words, pictures, sounds inside our heads. Like, you can visualize a candle right, but it's not a real image, it's like an idea of an image, of a candle that you've seen before.

audible hallucinations we have in the form of thoughts, and interpretation of sound generated outside our minds are both neurologically processed in the same manner, in the same area of brain.

Same thing with vision and imagining images.

From our conscious perspective, there is no difference.

So they are hallucinations created from sounds/images you've seen before. So does a person born deaf still talk inside their head?

yea, chits nuts. i will say some of what you're talking about seems like memory. but you're also talking about qualia of consciousness
qualia include the ways it feels to see, hear and smell, the way it feels to have a pain; more generally, what it's like to have mental states. Qualia are experiential properties of sensations, feelings, perceptions and, in my view, thoughts and desires as well
Qualia are at the very heart of the mind-body problem. The entry that follows is divided into ten sections. The first distinguishes various uses of the term 'qualia'. The second addresses the question of which mental states have qualia

Thanks man I'll check them out.

Like nothingshocking said, sound isn't really an apt description. It's more like an idea of sound, the same with pictures. Just the word "thought" is not really a good description IMO.
