Why not both?!

DragonBall z will always have a place in my heart.

But demon slayer is good stuff too, especially the last season. The fight scenes were amazing.

I haven't gotten a chance to watch the new DragonBall super (since GT killed off my interest after DBZ) so I can't say which is better

idk, demon slayer had good intro eps, but there isn't a sense of urgency in the arc.

I thought it was going to be a lot darker, but it's not so im watching dragonball now

naaaaa i loved DBZ when I was a kid but it's quite unwatchable now tbh. it's very hype and AAAAa and GRRRR and what not. But that's about it.

I'm on like ep 6 of demon slayer and it's boring as hell. Main character is a huge beta/annyoing voice. Fights look like a videogame cutscene. Animation is too cutesy. I don't understand the hype.

It does. Demon Slayer is an amazing anime/manga, both versions are top quality, lots of action, amazing story, amazing characters. I actually teared up a bit during one of the episodes (no homo), thats a reaction that Dragon Ball couldn’t ever dream of causing. Maybe the end of GT on that flashback of all the good moments from the series but that’s it.


However, DB will always be the king. It brought the entire world together for decades, and it’s worldwide followed. Even on Super we had moments where in big cities people would gather around a huge screen, like in the fight of Goku vs Jiren, and Super is not that good of an anime tbh.

DB and DBZ however, won’t ever be topped IMO.

I watched a bit of demon slayer but eventually stopped. Visuals were good but generic characters generic story
Lifts:

DBZ was great for it's time,

but trying to watch it nowadays and it is an absolute slog.

the pacing is way too slow, if it was released now, even if the story and mechanics were revolutionary, it would be rejected based on pacing.
