Did you go on any awesome field trips in school?
My favorite one was going to universal Orlando for my 8th grade field trip we got put into groups of 4 and got to stay at the park all day. I hooked up with this cute rich girl in my group. We had to drive 2 hours each way got back at 2am
Also went to NASA, the symphony, water sanitation place, a farm, and a bunch of other places
Field trips were GOAT
Do kids still go on them?

A few here and there. One of my favorites was back in either 5th or 6th grade when we visited a water filtration plant. Seems dumb and basic but this was the late 90s when my friends and I were obsessed with Goldeneye 64 that had just come out so we were running through the massive vats of water pretending to be secret agents planting remote explosives on the tanks and hiding from the workers.
Pretty sure I made an epic Pokemon card trade while waiting for the bus to take us back to school too. Good end to a good day.

Did you go to the mote marine aquarium?
The performing arts center we went to was the purple cow in Sarasota it was pretty nice
And yeah I seriously doubt kids are getting to do that chit these days. No way they would leave kids unsupervised in a theme park like they did with us

Went to the planetarium in 5th grade where they had a huge mission to Mars simulator spread across 4 rooms. There was mission control, the shuttle, the space station and a quarantine area before we left. Everybody got to take turns playing each role in traveling to Mars. One of the coolest things I’ve ever done srs. Back in class we drew up logos for some contest for NASA’s next flight but nobody got picked.
In my high school business class we went to a bunch of different factories and warehouses to highlight the local business community. I remember touring these places and noticing how fkin miserable the workers looked. Everybody had that wageslave aura like they wanted to rope while the smiling managers were introducing them to a class of teenagers.

Not really. I remember when living in California the teacher walking us to a yogurt shop. I was so disappointed. I thought it was going to be similar to going to an ice cream store. Instead we were given bland yogurt with carob chips that resembled chocolate but tasted awful.
My nephews attend private schools. I' jealous when I hear of their field trips. Sometimes they even fly to other cities.

Chessington Zoo/World Of Adventure. Felt honoured to have seen a Puma, although now I see it as cruelty-they employed some idiot whose job it was to bait it by hitting the enclosure with a stick & run around shouting.
