Teleworking is making me rich.

Literally running multiple jobs has never been easier. Making so much money right now it's insane. Another opportunity wasted by the lazy thinking they have 1 job and that's all that's required of them so they chill out and go fishing instead of capitalizing.

At the rate I'm going, I'll actually be able to retire by 40 if I wanted (or keep going and be genuinely rich).
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

That’s one of the most boomer things I’ve ever heard.

I’m a cyber security analyst and I’m pretty sure I do real work.

Software engineer checking in.

Fuk you OP. srs.

I actually work longer hours working from home and am easily 2x more productive, possibly 3x. It also requires more online meetings, which I hate.

Beats the fook out of commuting, which is by far the worst part of wagecucking.

Right before I got out of the Air Force lots of people were teleworking and what a joke. I was deployed to a chit hole and I would get an email back after several days saying I’m out of the office try me again on certain dates. Safe to say I got fkd on my orders lol.

I personally believe if you work from home your pay should be cut.

Kind of agree with OP actually srs.

No way the majority of people are sitting at a desk for eight hours a day. Most people are just getting the absolute bare minimum done in 3-5 hours and logging off.

Yeah but even in the office people aren't working full 8 hour days. The problem with being in the office though is you can't work on other personal chit, so you sit there for 8 hours zoning out. When I'm done my work I'll study, read, workout, whatever

It's nice to finish up at noon, hit the gym and get a nice steam in

Most people respect your work calendar believe it or not. And no one gives a sh*t to ask you why your calendar is always busy. They just assume you're working hard lol

On occasion I do run into conflicts and at that point I simply choose the job that has priority and skip the other meeting by saying I have a conflict. It happens infrequently enough it's not a dealbreaker.

I'm fortunate enough to have a position high enough that I'm trusted to manage my own schedule, but low enough I'm not asked to be management or lead of any kind where I'm swamped with meetings.

Promotions would actually be a negative for me and I'd decline them (srs). I'm in the sweet spot where I'm not some low level bitch where my manager monitors me like a hawk or important enough where everyone needs to constantly meet with me.

Yeah you're right. But the management style of walking around the office to ensure productivity has no effect. NGL, that has been a motivator for me in certain roles.

I'm in web development.

I will say I've had some churn in order to find a good fit. I've gone through a couple different companies before finding a good rhythm. Pick one company as your priority job and add another to see if it can fit. Your second job might not fit with your other job in your initial attempts (I had a couple where I only lasted 3-4 months before bowing out telling them it wasn't a good fit). I'm good at interviewing though and know what people want to hear for my position though and eventually found a couple that seem to not interfere with each other much so it's working good.

Won't a second employer find out about your existing employment through a background check?
That's not what they're checking for in background checks

Edit:

I suppose it's possible some may try to verify your employment history but 95% of companies just want to make sure you aren't a criminal.
