Wedding Invitation - non incels only
So my wife’s high school friend is getting married soon, I’ve met her maybe a dozen times, and my wife and I have been together for 10 years.
The wedding invitation doesn’t include my name, anywhere. Not on the envelope, not in the card, not on the RSVP page. I joked that meant I wasn’t invited and didn’t have to go (I hate weddings). This caused a … little … conflict between us.
Misc take? How bad of a faux pas is it to not include a couple’s name, etc?

Even if it doesn't have your name, it should have a number for people invited (like +1 or some chit)
In which case you're implicitly invited
Idk anything about you, but I know weddings >500 people invited. Those people didn't even write all the invites.
Your wife thought your joke was chit, and you didnt recover in time. Don't give af if you're on the invite by name, you shouldn't give a chit unless she has only 1 seat for herself. At these type of events you need to go with your wife, just like you'd expect her to go to the weddings you're invited to.

Weddings suck, but yeah, I think everyone involved would assume you'd go.

In a wedding planning stage now. We included names of partners we knew on invites + save the dates, and are sure to include at least a (+1) option on the invites if we don't know the date's name.
That's weird if it didn't have at least a +1 option OP.

Also, I’ve been invited to maybe 50 weddings over the years and my name has never, once, not been included to an invite from my wife’s side. Vice verse for her. Page two of the online rsvp page allows a plus one - but that could be literally anyone. I’m not tacitly invited to sht. I’m obviously going, but only as common decency to my wife.

Of course you can't go, you weren't invited.
What a massive loss for you! (Not srs. Jackpot)

If it is that big of a deal, ask the people who sent the invitation....
But I imagine if you were capable of that kind of direct communication, you would already have an understanding of their intention.
Just ask them man....

You seem to think this is a slight against you, maybe you're right, but her friend could have just been thoughtless without ill-intent.

Had good food at ONE wedding. Friend had filet mignon at his.
Why would anyone want a wedding for themselves? What a huge pain in the ass. So much effort just to have some evidence of social hierarchy LMAO.
Legit Instagram IRL.
Ring
Announcements
Shower
Save the date
Invitation
Catering
Legal documents
Lodging
Venue
Fuk all of that. Just go to the court, it's like $200. Done.
Maybe do a 'honeymoon' vacation because that part is actually fun.

Her friends hates you and has hated you since the day you started dating your wife......she even probably tried to get her to break it off with you at some point, if not multiple times through your relationship.
By her not even mentioning you on the invite, it's just another stab at you and an expression of her hatred of you. Your wife got all pissed when you made a joke because she know the truth and instead of just laughing it off, got defensive. They were probably really good friends at one point, but ever since you were thrown into the mix their friendship has been strained and you are the one thing, that is constantly driving a wedge between them.
I believe she literally doesn't want to acknowledge your existence and the last thing she wants is to see your face at her wedding.
In all seriousness, ask some of the other couples that you know what their invites looked like and if their sig other was even mentioned. It is a little odd that it wasn't addressed to you as a couple. Was this friend invited to your wedding?

We didn’t have a ceremony - city hall all the way. But if we had she would have 100% been invited.

Your wife needs to ask her friend: "Is Miscnbro invited to the wedding"?
If yes, then ok.
If no, then you'll find out exactly where your wife's loyalty is.
