Chris Rock's ticket sales skyrocket......
It's all going according to plan.
Just lol at thinking that whole thing wasn't setup. Cheapest ticket in the house went from $46 on 3/18 up to $411 and there has been a surge of buys since Sunday night.
Must have taken a page from Smollett's book

Chris just had to stand there and act surprised....and for a man that has made a career of being on stage, portraying stories with his body language......I'd say it wasn't a difficult task for him to pull off. He even looks like he's leaning in towards Will (and has his hands behind his back) when he approaches him like he knows the slap is coming.

But I was hit with "Buh Buh...Why would Chris be in on something so embarrassing?" Most people would be down to be slapped if it put millions in direct funds into their pocket, with the potential for even more in the near future.

It's not embarrassing for Chris either.....he's being praised for how he "remained composed" and while some are giving him chit about his "hurtful" joke....it just gives people even more of a reason to want to go see him....."what's this guy gonna say next?!"
And why would Will care? He just won an Oscar, he's made his money, his career, his name...... his relationship is a glass house that the whole general public already knows is weird AF so what does he have to lose? Could potentially go down for "defending a woman's honor" (just lol) and knew there wouldn't be any repercussions.....make an apology that is riddled with hints that you're emotionally damaged and just a normal human who is trying to be better and everything is back to normal.
All while distracting normies and making yourselves/Hollywood relevant again, perpetuating/okaying black violence and even the industry/academy/Hollywood gets to look good by not treating a "troubled black man" badly when he resorts to Assault on live TV......SEE AMERICA, we're the good guys!

I call this the Kardashian move.
People "eat up" all this staged, fake, or real attention seeking behavior.
If you liked Chris Rock before this then by all means go buy a ticket, but don't get 1 just because you were tricked fooled/or manipulated into it!

I like how you people suddenly think Chris Rock is the greatest actor of all time. If you think he was acting, he'd better be starring in A list dramatic productions from here on out because that performance was amazing

Everybody involved wins. Including the Oscars for next year. It was their second lowest ratings ever. This kind of controversy will automatically create more viewers next year. And there's zero chance an Oscar is being taken away from a black man in 2022. Will Smith has nothing to lose either. He's a great actor but he's been in almost nothing but flops for the better part of a decade. You can bet the execs in Hollywood realize this was staged, so this won't phase his casting at all.

He took a slap, stood there surprised then delivered a comedic relief line. He's been in plenty of movies, he's more than capable.
