Actively Try To Enjoy Life

Daily reminder to actually try to enjoy life. Even if you're going through a lot of chit right now due to COVID, politics, Russia Ukraine, economy, woke culture, relationships, family drama, or maybe even just life itself throwing some monkey wrenches at you. The monotony of the daily routines may even bring you down. But where ever you are, whatever's going on, take a few minutes to go outside and marvel at nature, feel the wind, experience the moment and dare to try to take it all in.

A lot of times I remind myself that in my twenties, things are about as good as they're going to get for me in terms of youth, health, energy, enthusiasm. It ought to be a sin to mindlessly drone along through it. As you age your senses will dwindle, your reaction time fades, what's fun now will grow a little stale and overly familiar, your energy and self as a whole will decline. So take advantage of this realization and live the moment and enjoy what's going on around you.

Not a bad sentiment actually. I spend a lot of time outdoors and appreciate it, but I know way too many people who get sucked into doom scrolling and are somehow legitimately upset by things that have literally zero impact on their actual life.

man you had me.

Don’t limit yourself to your 20s. There is not any decrease in standard of living as you age unless you bring it on yourself. That is, age alone will not stop you from enjoying life. In many aspects, I am finding myself more appreciative of who I am as I age. Probably because I am finally beginning to learn who I am. Talk about enjoying life? Pretty easy when you enjoy yourself.

I agree with your main point though, and it should be repeated regularly. So we use incipit catch phrases like “stop and smell the roses”.

I feel conversations like this require the detail you went to for full effectiveness though.

Good post.

If you're going through chit due to COVID, politics, Russia Ukraine, economy, woke culture, relationships, or family drama I suggest you just stop. You don't have to be scared of COVID (or listen to the 'rules' about it), consume political media, pay attention to a war on another continent, watch economic news (you can't do anything about it anyway), or pay attention to woke culture. You can also remove yourself from or repair relationships/family drama that is causing you stress.

These are all choices. If you're cowering in your home from COVID and complaining about dudes pretending to be women just stop doing both. They won't come get you.

Well posted. I troll with the nihilist chit but there is plenty of things to be grateful for.
