Everyone should be prepared for a shortage whether it happens or not. It doesn't have to be difficult. Every time you do your normal grocery shopping, just get a few extra cans of food and store it away. Canned food basically lasts forever

Seems like we need a change... a complete overhaul to how our needs and wants works.. Everyone starving, so we will give everyone a loaf of bread, a gallon of milk. But this will legit be a serious problem for developing countries especially. Haven’t watched the video in OP, but between Russia/Ukraine’s grain output and the global fertilizer shortage, again Russia being a big supplier, we are likely approaching an actual food catastrophe.

Russia was also a major exporter of fertilizer (nitrogen, potash, etc) used to increase yields of crops around the world.

The confluence of all this + soaring energy and transport prices could lead to mass starvation in impoverished chunks of the globe.

Events like this have historically led to mass migrations, disruption of entire nations, and social/political upheaval.
