Seemed like excessive force based on the caller's description of the suspect, but upon further review it was self defense by the police and a job well done

It's difficult to know if you have hit them and if you have whether it would incapacitate them.

Did you see that Paraguay gun shop the other day? The assailant thought he had taken out the owner, but had just tagged his shoulder, giving the owner time to draw and kill him and put rounds on his buddy.

Milliseconds count and that guy was a tank; took down the first cop in a single punch.

I think the issue is, even with the current voltage, you get a fair amount of deaths per year from it. I've always wondered if some **** like spiderman's glue would be feasible - something that breaks down after a few hours but creates a sticky mess and dries like rubber fairly fast, just making it hard for them to move.

Came in to neg OP for posting a 30 min shooting video, but ended up repping him instead. You can get to the action pretty quickly on both bodycams.

Pretty gnarly chit. Ventilated dude was a fukking tank... knocking one cop out with the one-hitter-quitter and knocking the dude over. He could have 1v2d them super fukking easily if he just ground and pounded the other guy out. RARELY do you see a grown man with that level of physical advantage over 2 other grown men.

Like 99.9% of interactions with the police go off without a hitch but occasionally people are either intoxicated on drugs or alcohol and get out of control..

Believe it or not probably the largest number of 911 calls are people that are related to the suspect or are a 'friend'.

Police in many places are getting better tools but its not always practical to carry them around and in certain environments you can't use them.



IMO the main reason these situations are happening is the pussification of law enforcement. Old school cops used to either wear leather gloves loaded with lead, carry a black jack, a wood baton, or a big maglight. If someone passively resisted you punched them in the face immediately and took control of them. If they didn't go out or continued to resist violently you popped the behind the head once or twice with one of the aforementioned tools and put them in cuffs without issue. Or if you knew how to grapple you sunk a rear naked choke and put them to sleep then cuffed them without incident.


The libs/public denounced these tactics as too violent. Occasionally you get someone with a medical condition combined with narcotics that results in a death. Or occasionally you fractured someone's skull. Fast forward 10-15 years and now we have people getting out of control and they feel perfectly confident assaulting a cop. And now they get shot and killed. Furthermore now we have a bunch of officers walking around that are overly reliant on tasers and OC (which often fail). Then they have no idea how to actually handle someone with their hands.




So many policies and bans against effective ways to neutralize someone police are now forced to shoot people. And make no mistake about it, liability wise at most agencies you are better off shooting & killing someone then choking them out or popping them in the back of the head with a piece of leather loaded with weight.
