Faking Microsoft Teams video call - any advice?

I have a Microsoft Teams meeting with like 15 other people. I won't be required to talk but I need to be "present" on the camera. Is there a way of faking it, like recording myself prior for a couple of minutes and then having that display? Sounds like some Mission Impossible stuff but I am sure it can be done?

What is the point of being on it if you won't be talking?

pretty sure Keanu Reeves achieved this exact feat on a bus that was rigged with explosives in the movie Speed. His plan worked pretty well and fooled Dennis Hopper for quite a while. I forget what ended up giving it away, but it bought him some precious time to figure out what to do. Good luck and God bless.

Yes go trough the hassle of recording yourself pretending to listen and then somehow playing this recording.. much better than attending the meeting and pretending to listen for exactly the same if not less time
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication

so here is the thing. The meeting starts at 5:30pm and finishes 8pm. I need to be somewhere at 6:30pm. Where I need to be is 15 minutes away. So if I leave the meeting at 6:15pm (45 minutes into the 2.5 hour Teams meeting), will that arise suspicion? I am not required to give any input by talking but the meetings are recorded and will show me off screen.

You might suggest not doing it on the computer but do it on my cellphone and take it with me, but the battery will likely die before 8pm and I will be with someone else.

How about this - not doing video from the very beginning. Just start with audio only? Is that viable? Because if 45 minutes into the Teams meeting I close my video - that will attract MORE attention, I think.
