Because most are too lazy and scared to take the leap of faith to start their own business. Me included. So we cope for approximately 40 years where most of us can retire and finally enjoy life.

CEO of my company is actually a shekelberg. Unlimited paid time off, don't need to ask. No one goes into the office. Work like 2 hours a day max. Highly paid.

I imagine you still get the satisfaction of still trying and possibly making it. And the off chance you break past most folks to become a millionaire. I believe most folks who start a business actually enjoy working 80 hours. Your average wageslave isn't doing that.

As far as start up costs, well that's up to you. There's side jobs out there that don't require a ton. I think I could start a landscaping business out of my house with just a couple mowers then work up from there.

Pretty happy with my life, it's not luxurious or anything but I do have a loving home out in nature

I don't mind working either, my job is pretty easy and pays a lot, so I try and push myself to do more

It's hard when everything is already taken care of, but I'm finding that hard work really does pay off

I don't think my boss is Jewish, not really my business, but if he was, it really wouldn't bother me

Life is very tranquil, don't need to worry about finances, can take my time and enjoy the fruits of my labor

That's what civilization is built on, people who are willing to work and build your home, your roads, your computer, everything you own

If you are living on welfare, I really don't mind lending a helping hand, it is a drop in the bucket and there is plenty left over to give

It feels good to contribute to society and to earn your meals, it really does make you grateful for the things you have

You’re better off just getting a job that pays 200k plus, saving for a bunch of years, building your network and then starting an actual scalable business.

Starting a landscaping business is basically just creating a low paying, labour intensive job for yourself as a landscaper.

Also most entrepreneurs developed relationships in the corporate world before branching off and doing their own thing. For example I work for two guys that started a hedge fund but had like 20 years experience in finance. It’s not like they could have skipped this, no one would have given them money.

Go look at any successful start up and go to the founders page - it’s full of guys who were once wagies with a ton of industry experience. Also it’s never one guy just grinding by himself as some lone wolf, these businesses take a bunch of smart people coming together. Go read about the pay pal mafia for example.

Good luck starting anything without a ton of experience and connections in your particular industry.
