I literally cannot believe how people in small towns live

Had to take a business trip to a small town (120k pop.) this week and today was my first day in town. This place is an absolute **** hole, especially the food. Nothing, but chain restaurants and coffee shops. The one independent coffee shop I went to seemed like they were serving Folgers. No fair trade, no organic, no rainforest alliance certified. No vegan restaurants. I thought some vegan ice cream would cheer me up, so I went the only independent shop I could find hoping they at least had some vegan sorbet if no v-ice cream. Of course they only had disgusting mass produced non-organic non vegan filth with basic flavors. No rustic autumn pear, no lemongrass, no lavender dusk. They had ****ing orange and raspberry, if you can call it that. I don't even want to leave my hotel room, and I'm here until Thursday. Send healing vibes and calming thoughts my way my fellow humans.

What small town, doesn't sound like any of the small towns in my area. Granted the only vegan restaurant I know of is AMy's Drive Thru

Lol I just did a business trip staying 2 days in a town with 20k people.

It felt like going back 2 decades, in some ways i see the appeal but overall the place seemed depressing, no way I could live there.

Decent trolling but I've had to travel to a few regional Australian towns and if you stick to ordering the steak, you can't go wrong. If there is no significant tourist trade, there will not be any high end restaurants or wide variety of good food.
