i was very psychologically addicted to the androgenic effects of tren but its pure poison. marijuana unfortunately turned into a 7 year daily habit that i just kicked for good 10 weeks ago

Weed and Pepsi are the only two "drugs" that I've done with any type of regularity. Neither is particularly difficult to avoid, but when I was an undergrad I legit had an addiction to weed. Like it was really killing my ability to do well in school, but I still couldn't stop smoking everyday.

I've been doing Pepsi pretty regularly for like 4-5 years now, but it's not something I have any type of dependency issues with(outside of in the moment). Sure, if I have a bag there's a pretty good chance I'll do the entire thing in one night. But I wake up the next day, and pretty much the last thing I have interest in doing is more Pepsi.

Everquest and WoW

Tren is probably about in line with crack/meth as far as unhealthy. Causes permanent brain damage(small but builds over time) and heart damage that cant be undone. Thats why there is a smart way to peds and a not smart way to peds and when people blame "peds" its very ignorant because theres a LOT of factors that make situations deadly or harmelss.

I mean you go from Tren which serves almost no human pharmacological benefits but tons of negatives to testosterone which has TONS of benefits and very few negatives.

Cannabis. Not even a hard drug but definitely mentally / psychologically addictive. Spent a good chunk of my early 20’s getting high. I used many different THC products like edibles and vaping distillate/dabs but smoking flower was the main one. I feel like when you first start using it’s really fun, like everything is fresh and exciting and different. But once you build a huge tolerance then you start needing it to function and you can’t enjoy stuff like movies and video games and even social gatherings without getting high first. It becomes a crutch. Best to use it only on the weekends or occasionally.

Vaping nicotine was a stupid addiction I had for a while too, but also a relativity benign substance. Vaped a lot from ages 20-24. Gave it up in 2020 when covid hit. The effects aren’t even as strong as a coffee, but when you have a vape you can’t help but hit it all day every day, so you get stuck chasing the buzz. It’s bad. Ruined my health big time. Now I do a lot of bike riding and skating and have great cardio. Also, people/girls don’t like when you vape around them lol. Makes you look dumb, not cool.

Didn't get addicted but after a year of major surgeries I can see how folks can't quit opioids like Oxy, morphine, etc.

It's astounding how these drugs not only take away your pain but make you feel like you're floating on a DGAF cloud.

Buriful.

Tried alcohol, weed, coke, 2cb, xtc, LSD and probably quite a bit more.

Alcohol is by far the worst on that list.

Definitely caffeine. I've tried lots of different drugs from weed, to tobacco, to *******, and caffeine is the most addictive for me. It's the only drug I do anymore.

I understand the feeling of addiction but one of the addictions that never made sense to me is a gambling addiction. You're literally playing a game in which you're guaranteed to lose and somehow you get addicted to it? At least with drugs you get some kind of physical high.

I would guess it would be similar to gaming. When I would go on new "raids" with high potentials of loot I would be euphoric the whole day, about as euphoric as being on painkillers. Even if the moment of looting a couple items only lasts 10 seconds, the rush of the experience leads to 24 hours of euphoria, and to top it off you dont even have to take a substance.

I guess objectively I can understand the theory behind it, but practically knowing you're playing a losing hand it doesn't make sense. I guess you could say the same for drug addiction where you can make objective arguments about how it's physically bad, I dunno. A gambling addiction just seems so insanely stupid.

With gambling the game you're playing is life, and you will lose out. In a game the game you're playing, well, it's the game. And eventualyl you'll get some items and progress in the game. You won't progress in life if you keep gambling.
