I don't think it was a good shoot. Definitely not the worst shoot either. Cop still had control and the perp was face down. I have a feeling of indifference.

But it all could have been avoided had he not fought the cop and tried to take the taser.

Both sides fuked up. Black dude for resisting arrest and the white cop for having legit like 10 different opportunities to gain control of the guy but instead keeping the struggle going. E.g., when he threw a knee when he already has the dude's hands behind his back and he's barely doing anything to resist. The knee then caused the guy to rotate around, piss him off, and get him resisting again. Then the cop tries to tase the dude again which escalates it further. Yet another perfect example of why every cop should have BJJ training. It would have been over the second they hit the ground.

The Passenger videoof the moments the bodycam was turned offshows it was definately pre meditated first degree murder.
The suspect fit the demographic of a violent criminal, he wore his pants like a violent criminal, and he didn't have legit plates just like a violent criminal. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and swims like a duck, chances are it's a duck.
The cop did intentionally turn off the body cam and shoot the suspect when the cop's life was NOT in danger though.
The cop will definitely spend some serious time in prison.
I think it's a win win for the American people. A bad cop is going to be in prison for a long time and never be able to be a cop again and a likely violent criminal is dead.

Cops seriously need more training. The average Joe is obese, it shouldn't be hard to take one down. What happened to bjj or judo training?

It wasn't worth shooting him in head. Let him go and call back up, pretty simple thing to do.
