Anyone worried about Elon Musk’s neuralink?

Neuralink is his brand which designs brain microchips that will connect man directly with artificial intelligence turning humans into humanoids in the name of digital innovation.

He wants to fuse man with machine even named his child after some computer language.

Sounds like global mind control to me….

What do you guys think?

Not really worried about anything

Even if I lost everything and died would still be gucci

I remember reading the experiments for this thing caused prolonged torture deaths in monkeys

There already is a brain-to-computer interface called EEG but it mostly sends binary signals with a bit of concentration

You can get a dev kit online pretty cheap, I think it would take a good deal of training to quickly send signals with your mind

The most obvious application is helping people with disabilities but could probably do a lot of other chit too

Drive a vehicle while motionless, combine with that new eye tracker tech to shoot a weapon with just your eyes and thoughts

Knowing the world today will probably end up being used for something mundane and commercial like skipping ads or scrolling and liking insta posts lmao

No, it is a decent idea useful for certain situations like bypassing nerve injury downstream in the brain.

I think external AI is more useful than internal. He's just a Wharton guy, and they love physique hacks.

Not only can you build AI externally but you can also learn to incorporate external tools, as Oxford showed with someone developing neural circuitry to use a third arm or hand in only about an hour. Why not develop custom tech tools you can learn to use, like you learn to use your phone, to enhance experience beyond natural human limits?

You say you won't but when it becomes common place like the smart phone and everyone uses it to travel and pay bills and buy groceries you'll have second guesses.
