Misc beat battle thread - VOTE NOW (GTFIH)

All entries welcome boyos, otherwise come in to judge who flipped it best.

Sample pick is "mov3" submitted by MiscMathematician, flexing his cellular telephone.



The rules are pretty lax - use the sample somewhere in the mix, add your own drums, bassline, extra sparkle etc, and have fun.

No daw. I'm embarrassed to say it but I use audacity to make my beats. But I mean I just started making beats this year remember? Doubt I'm gonna quit so I'll buy some actual equipment eventually.

Fuark, i use Audacity alot, but not for sequencing, that sounds hard af man. I learned on Reaper way back in the day when it was still free. That was a great program. If I was really serious, I would buy that.

If you're on a budget and want some MIDI hardware, I would look at some of the Akai products. I use the Akai MPD218 which comes with the MPC software, it also comes with Ableton Live Lite but I can't wrap my head around that (I think Pengh uses this).



Akai have a few MIDI keyboards too, I haven't used any of them, I've still got my M-Audio 25 key from way back

Just did a few ideas. Now I'm overwhelmed lol. I need to arrange this out and attempt a poverty mix. Getting fukin tired maneMight have to get back on it before work tomorrow morning.

Im actually surprised this came out somewhat decent. It probably will sound like sht in the morning lol like always.

I know a guy who's made some beats for big artist, most notably for TechN9ne.

He uses Acid Pro, an old version from like early 2000's.
