I think I have a plan for how we can make the Misc great again. Now hear me out.

It's obvious the ****** at bb.com no longer want to support the Misc and are content to let it die and go out with a whimper. One day we are going to attempt to access the Misc and it will be gone for good. We need to take back control before the inevitable occurs. My plan is simple.

1. We offer to buy the Misc from the ****** Begin negotiations and get an estimate on how much it would cost to acquire rights to the Misc section of the forums.

2. All of us Misc 350k a day CEOs - along with other peasants who wish to contribute scraps - will pool our money together in a gofundme.

3. Once we have enough funds we purchase the Misc from bb.com along with intellectual rights, forum data, Misc account info, shirtless twink avi's, etc. One of the conditions for the purchase will be that bb.com will have to relist the Misc forums, except now those links redirect them to external servers that are now being hosted by the new Misc elite. BB.com will be required to keep the links with the redirects up for long enough to ensure that the cutover can occur, along with some breathing room post cutover.

4. Before the cutover, we will have already recreated all of the registered Misc accounts as placeholders. Miscers will access the misc from the bb.com links, and get redirected to the new servers, then when they attempt to log in, they will be prompted to reset their passwords. The temp password will be sent to the email associated with the user account acquired from the bb.com data dumps. Once the password has been reset, your account on the new Misc will be registered on the new forums.

5. On the new forums, we will also already have all previous threads and posts copied over from the data dumps, so that when users register, they won't be hit with a dead forum and nope the hell out. Perhaps we can even acquire historical data so that we can re-create old popular deleted threads by request, that way when people use a search engine to find some old GOAT tier threads, they will find them on the new site where they will be able to create a user account or reactivate their old one if they are in the database. The site will also look a lot like the old Misc, except with maybe a few visual updates and perhaps an actual functioning search. The key here is that we want users to be able to go from posting on the bb.com misc to the new Misc with barely a hiccup.

6. During our grace period with bb.com, while most users are still using the bb.com redirects to access, we will train our users to access the misc using the new links. The good thing about using the redirects is that it will allow traffic to continue organically on the new servers while we boost our ranking in search engines. By the time bb.com is ready to pull the plug, the new forum should be ranked highly in search engines so it can easily be found with a simple Google search.

If we do all of the above just right, we will have a fully functional Misc forum hosted on a separate server with organic traffic being generated prior to cutover. This will ensure that the Misc lives on and echoes throughout eternity!
