I'm talking about in post retirement, old age. I notice this whenever I watch people being interviewed in disaster circumstances, like war, tornado, earthquake, etc. When there's an old couple being interviewed, the woman will invariably be the one, emotionally, speaking at length about what happened. The elderly man is in the back, blank face.

It probably has mostly to do with the fact that women are better communicators. But still women seem to also be the ones to take charge in terms of dealing with things in old age. Elderly brahs seem to have just kind of given up doing things their way. Or maybe it's a LDAR symptom. Women are more hopeful maybe?

Men give up on life looking at our current generation(s). They just can't be assed anymore. Especially after sitting in a sexless marriage for multiple decades and being invisible and sexually unattractive after their youth. Kinda hits them during the midlife crisis and it goes downhill after then.

Most suicides happen in the 60-70 years-old range in men and I can totally understand why.

Life already sucks being low 30's for me. Can't imagine how chit the world is going to be in a decade with this generation of people that gave up on God and got so self-absorbed.

Women complain until you lose the urge to resist, let them talk all they want.
