staying together for the kids is not healthy

Do you really want to have your child grow up in such a toxic enviroment where mom & dad hate eachother? Co-parenting works very well If both parents are mature & understanding of eachother.

Not srs!!
Why do cucks say chit like this? Is it to make themselves feel better about choosing their own needs over the needs of theie child???
Imagine willingly letting your kid stay with several different step dads not knowing what your kid is up to 50% or more of the time.
Chit like this is the plague of western society.

I can tell you don't have kids and have never been married so commenting on something you know nothing about is just dumb.

My parents "stayed together for the kids" and had a horrible marriage until they finally split up when my sister and I left for university. So we were constantly around two people who couldn't stand each other. Think that was good for us?

I split up from my wife when my kids were really young and we co-parent really well. As a result both kids are happy in either house and are smart and healthy. If I'd stayed I'd still be miserable and so would my ex-wife. We are way better co-parents. In fact, her birthday is this weekend and my kids and I just spent time before I drive them to school making birthday cards together for her.

my parents hated each other and divorced when I was in HS.

I honestly don't understand why they wouldn't have just figured it out and stayed together.

They acted like children throwing tantrums over the dumbest chit. All first world problems because we were very well off. HURRRR DURRRR I'M DOING LAUNDRY AGAIN YOU FUKER!

lmaoooo.

Now that I'm an adult looking back at it, my boomer parents were absolute psychopaths.

Same here - my parents hated each other's guts and we all ended up hating the dad - he was basically a child himself, so the split wasn't as easy as it was for some other people.

I honestly don't think that they even liked each other to begin with - pretty sure my mom just wanted to get back at her ex by moving on and my dad just started taking his own pain out on my mom and beating the shyt out of her.

Same story as the guy above, dad would just throw temper tantrums when shyt didn't go his way or when he thought it didn't go his way - ugh.

I ended up really messed up mentally and emotionally due to this and then ended up having the same issues having narcissistic friends and girlfriends.

They’ll be fuk’d either way. Once parents split probabilities are they’ll grow up messed up.

Solution would have been to have no kids, since you weren’t mature enough.

Children only thrive with two good parents and stability.

The problem in this debate is that the people who can split up and create a healthy co-parenting situation are also the same people who can work out their issues and remain together and co-exist peacefully until the kids are out of the house. In other words, the real split is between good people/parents and bad people/parents. The good people can work out either solution, the bad people can't work out either in a healthy way for the kids.

100% - I chose to never have kids for a reason and it led me down some dark roads, but also helped me make some breakthroughs in terms of issues pertaining to my personality. Even now i'm hesitant about having kids and creating more problems in my life.

This isn't an issue of good vs bad - we are all good and bad, the issue is how we go about making sure that we are ALL happy people.

Bro im married and i have a kid.
The thought of letting some other guy fuk his mom & be around him makes me sick.

Getting divorced because you dont Get along is a terrible excuse.
If the thought of divorce never Even entered your mind you would be forced to work things out instead of having One foot out the door at all times.

Imagine dropping your kid off to your ex and some cuck for the week and thinking its a good thing. Come on man!

I really don't understand how parents have the time or energy to be at each others throats. We are busy asf with 2 kids. brb soccer practice, brb, lacrosse practice, brb baseball game, brb basketball game, brb football practice, brb have to get something from the store for school tomorrow, brb we want ice cream, brb can Johnny come over, brb can Stacy sleep over, brb, brb, brb.

If you hate your bitch wife, invest more time with the kids. They're not going to be around forever and you will never look back and think that you spent too much time and spent too much energy on them.

Don't argue about laundry and who did the fookin dishes. Being a dad is goat. Get lost - Go play catch with them, go fishing, take them to a baseball field for a home-run derby, grab the sticks and whoop their ass in Madden, show them how to fix something, go for a car ride, go watch some chitty kid movie that mom doesn't want to see, go bowling, putt putt, take them sledding / to the beach with their friends - the list goes on forever. If she gives you any chit about the laundry & dishes after giving her the house for a few hours, ask her wtf she was doing while you were entertaining the kids.

My mom actually did all the yelling lmao. Nothing ever physical.

my dad is very docile and his solution was to work 70 hours per week to avoid the house, and I don't blame him.

Here is a compromise, they can separate but not date or remarry anyone else till the kids are over 18.

I know everyone on the Misc knows my story but we stayed together for the kids but haven't been romantically involved in almost 16 years.

My husband didn't' want my daughter having stepdads and I moved out when she was 1 and we tried having her go back and forth but she hated going to my little cottage so I moved back home.

healthy stable parents vs. struggling broken parents

Why I think there should be better education about relationships, life skills, and the reality of raising children in public schools. Can't depend on kids' parents to set a good example and this is important to the quality of future citizens.

Can't agree. Too easy to penalize an "innocent" party [aka: partner who was doing their best/not chitty]. However I don't think it is good for children to be constantly exposed to whoever their single mom or dad is dating this week. I could see "no live ins unless you are married" until the kids are over 18.

Done is done. I do think that if you would have carried on that way and finalized your divorce at that time that she would have adapted and you might have remarried. That would have been her "normal". I don't believe many people have a lot of clear memories from when they were still in diapers.

My moms work friend had a boyfriend/stepdad to the daughter that ended up molesting her.

That's one reason why you don't want a step dad.

both of mine were yellers - would just go off at me for no reason and call me shyt like deadbeat at like 9 years old lmfao - dad would bash us up for no reason - he ended up going paranoid and sitting alone in a room reading about conspiracy theories, 'not talking' to my mom (or anybody in the family) for 2 years and she just talked to some old bf of hers because my mom needs constant attention, so he 'got angry' about that even though they were not even talking and lost his shyt so they just split - looking back on it, what he just really wanted was people to leech off of.

It’s not cucked at all. The most alpha thing a man can do is breed a bunch of different women and make them raise the kids with her resources without any of his input while he continues to impregnate new women.

Suspenseful

The truth is, nothing is completely healthy. Raising children is the best job most people can access to make tragedy worthwhile, and letting other strangers (yes, the others in the household of broken families will affect more than you) lead their future is almost a complete failure.

I think people need to realize that getting married is more than ******** photos and getting legally bound. Getting married essentially means staying with them for life and having kids. That's a very unselfish promise to one another.

However, given our current culture and marriage laws, people seem to just get pressured into getting married while still maintaining a very selfish lifestyle and thought process looking at kids like they're an inconvenience. The idea of "staying together for the kids" is a pretty absurd statement. It should be "We should figure things out to better our relationship for the kids." If you can't iron out your relationship, especially for the kids, then why on earth did you have kids and procreate?

Marriage and parent culture nowadays is a peak into psychosis.

Weakening your society isn't alpha at all. Alpha is putting your kids in the best possible position to succeed which is being an active parent in a two parent household.

They know I date and want me to find someone, but they want their mom to be alone until they are out of the house.
Why did you Get divorced when you had a 2 & 4 year old at the time?
What was the reasoning?

Western cucks thinks marriage is until they fall out of love JFL. It's until death and you should vow to care and help the person you want to be teammates until the rest of your life even if you are not in love with them anymore.

healthy stable parents vs. struggling broken parents

I don't know if I would have gotten remarried as I never seem to feel any chemistry for a man my age on the first date. I just had a first date with a 42 year old and he was so dull. He just works and watches TV, whereas I'm always off doing adventures, gym, tennis and social stuff.

But even in diapers she cried all night when she was at my little cottage so I couldn't bear to do that to her and left her back at our house. But that was dumb as he was then in charge of the custody and I only saw her when it was convenient for him. So I moved back home.
