Anyone get the feeling something big is about to go down? (stocks)(finance)

I have the sneaking suspicion that the current financial system is unsustainable and the elites are realizing it.

There was a big event in late 2019 where the Fed had to step in to prop up the market, that was papered over and forgotten about. Naturally it wasn't reported in MSM or where the majority of the public get their information.

Things that concern me:
- US inflation at 8% combined with 27 trillion in Government debt. When inflation gets above 3%, interest rates have to go up. The issue is when you have that much debt, only a small rise in interest rates can have a huge impact on interest repayments. The market is now pricing in a 90% chance of 75bps increase in interest rates at the next Fed meeting.

- Tether has 60 billion in unknown assets (they are not cash or equivalents). If these assets, whatever they may be, are unfunded or "invested" in risky assets that will possibly go down 50-80% it could create carnage in the crypto market.

- The US Fed has been printing their way out of financial difficulties since 2008. The problem is they can't print forever, especially since it is money that has not been backed by gold since 1971.

It is normal for people to extrapolate the recent past into the future, but I feel things are going to be very different in the next decade or so. It would be worth it to look at the collapse of other reserve currencies and what people do when they lose trust in money. The Dutch Guilder used to be the global reserve currency, then the British Pound and now we have the USD - none of these last forever though.

There is a lot of bull**** financial assets in the system currently, backed by unsustainable debt...it feels like if something is going to break it will break in a big way - everything feels very fragile right now.

Anyway, I know a few of you younger lads are investing in stocks, but just be aware that 80-90% drawdowns are not unheard of.
