Anyone had a job offer withdrawn because of a background check?
I was a server assistant and my manager tried to make me stay 4 hours after my shift was over because someone else wanted to leave. I told my manager no can do I have stuff to do tomorrow. Got fired for insubordination. Now I got an offer at a tech company and they are doing the employment background check after I got the offer. Nervous that I will have my offer withdrawn because of that hating ass gay manager that fired me. It was on my resume I never thought a tech company would care about my past low skill jobs

Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Employer background checks are just for the company to make sure you actually worked at those locations, that's it.
The only way they'd find out about that situation is if you gave the new company approval to call your previous employer or co-workers, otherwise, they won't know.
Its why I always click the option "do not contact" for past employers.

Yup, when I was younger. SDPD..no criminal record, and never went to jail and only one ticket, but told the truth about taking certain drugs, nothing hard, just what we used to do at raves back then

This is the modern world, not the 1990s...
In most states, it is illegal for a potential employer to ask for anything more than employment dates, job title and salary information.
Most employers don't even ask for references anymore because of the potential for lawsuits. At most, they'll contact the HR department and ask for employment verification, but they won't dare ask anything beyond dates, job title and salary.
