Title.

Taking all my money out and giving the stupid government a 7 to 9 percent loan that they have to pay no matter what. I’ll invest again once Brandon is out of office and there’s actually a reason for the market to go higher.

OK tell us how.

If you can get 7% safely then so can everyone else, so they all pile their cash into that option. That brings the yield down closer to what's more common at the present.

If a person doesn't get scared and sell (which it sounds like you got shook), how again are they "losing" money oh wise one? If a short term down turn scares you so much you probably shouldn't be in the market anyways.

Cheers!

Selling at a market downturn is kinda the opposite of making money...

I think you can buy the inflation government bonds from the government directly. Up to $10,000 in investment is allowed.

Don’t know if you’re aware but 700 is greater than a negative number.

“So can everyone else”. Except most don’t.

I haven’t sold anything. I don’t have any money in the stock market other than long term in a Roth. I’m saying it’s better to get a guaranteed 7 to 10 percent return doing nothing with 0 risk than buying a falling index or stock picking and failing like everyone else.

700 bucks, is it even capital gains rate or full taxes?

the least the government could do is make it tax free for those responsible enough to still have money to assist the government in their endless bailouts.

brb be responsible and you get $480 after taxes or be degenerate and get 10k free

lmao
