At this point people who fit in the lgbtqia (more to come soon) category receive enough special arrangements and support from the government, companies and other institutions that it’s honestly stupid not to get on the gravy train.

You have a classification that can be acquired simply by “identifying” with it (nobody can tell you you’re not gay), with not other criteria, that frequently makes you eligible for chit. Why would you not identify as bisexual and get better treatment from others, people tiptoeing and being afraid to possibly offend you, brownie points from being yourself, eligible for scholarships, etc etc. then you have incentives from the government including consideration for programs and certain welfare.

This is like When government incentivized people naming their wives as owners of construction companies that were completely run by their husbands because government would only allow “women owned businesses “ to be awarded contracts.

When I was in the military I constantly saw lgbt individuals getting special treatment, better evaluations from superiors, eligibility for awards and things like grants and scholarships, it got to the point even for promotion and acceptance to programs such as officer school, minority status, mainly lgbt, was taken into consideration. If you can get all this by simply saying you are attracted to people of the same sex, why would you not do it? I bet it’s already happening and you got some Elizabeth warren types saying they’re gay for bennies.

Yep but these people still represent a very small minority of society.

So it's up to the rest of us to stop supporting and giving business to all these companies.

Then they will stop making money and be forced to stop the pandering.

LGBT emphasis in society is mostly because of easy money policies over the last 13-14 years. Life has been comparatively really easy in the US for the last decade. They are currently in the process of deflating that bubble, which is going to place a much higher value on real tangible production.

All of this LGBT stuff being heavily publicized will disappear within a couple years.
