Woman says she doesn't want take care of ill spouse...gets roasted
source:https://nypost.com/2022/04/24/i-hate...-wedding-vows/
One bride-to-be has caused uproar online after she explained why she wants to remove this important line on her big day.
Posting on Reddit’s “Am I The A—-le” forum, the woman said she wants to replace “in sickness” with “in happiness”.
She explained: “This is harsh, but I hate taking care of sick people.
“My siblings and I were always taking care of our parents whenever they get sick and I just hate it.
“I’m sick of it and I hate feeling bound or obligated to take care of somebody.
“My life is full of moments and events like this and I just finally want to live my life to the fullest.”
But after she suggested the “health” and “happiness” swap, the woman says her fiancé is now reconsidering if he wants to marry her at all.
She continued: “My fiancé says that he will not accept this and he is very mad at me, he is even rethinking the whole thing.
“I just don’t want to feel obligated to take care of anybody sick for years of my own and only life, it’s so stressful and I think he is being very unreasonable right now.
Needless to say, other members of the forum were left raging by the post — which prompted the bride to clarify that she’d take care of him if he had a cold.
She added: “However, if it’s chronic/severe and requires so much time and playing around (diets, restrictions, special conditions, etc) then no, I had enough of those in my life.”
So what do you think misc? Does she have a point or is she a c_nt?

Whatever most women think like this.
That’s why I thank god my third kid was finally a girl. She’s going to be a sweet little daddy’s girl who takes care of me in my old age. I’m not trusting my she devil wife.
Or the prison system will take care of me after I start mounting miscer heads on walls cuz they decided to talk to her.

She's really just verbalizing what most women think of marriage anyways--a non-stop highlight reel of good moments for social media. A lot of wives -- especially on Reddit -- can't keep their legs together if their husband was in the hospital with leukemia

I agree with her. It's the guy's responsibilities to make sure he doesn't get hurt and become bedridden. Only low IQ's get hurt. And besides, they arn't even married yet.

I'm someone with a chronic health condition, and as I've learned a lot of people don't like sick people. to a certain extent I suppose it is understandable. We want to be around healthy people. I've read a number of times where a person becomes ill with the same condition I have and the spouse leaves the marriage. The condition isn't one where to much help is needed either.

Send her back to the streets. Part of getting married is that one day you might have to take care of your spouse whether seen or unforeseen. Chit happens...Grab your nuts, honor your vows and stfu. If you aren't about that life stay single, and live out your days as an old spinster or perpetual baby momma.

If true respect her honesty in saying it now, rather than not & then if the guy ends up a vegetable in an accident or whatever she has to spend the rest of her life wiping his ass, feeding him etc.
