Anyone noticed the squat and deadlift are cope lifts?

Ive seen so many little powerlifting pussies that don’t even look like they lift squat and deadlift great weight, this leads me to believe they are cope lifts

But I have NEVER seen anyone OHP or barbell row decent weight (315 row/225+ OHP) without looking juicy or being genuinely strong

Bench with a huge arch or extra wide grip is cope lift too

That's insane and amazingly impressive. You're using this young phenom to compare to the average lifter? Show me a grown man who can hit 500lbs to depth with horrible looking legs.

That would be like me using this guy to say bench press is cope

Thats not that rare of a phenom, just go into tiktok or IG and there are a plethora of teens squatting 500 for reps and heading for 700lb deadlifts, never seen them row 4 plates though or OHP 265+ though, and why exactly is that????

Aware of this guy

I don't neglect them, I'm literally just saying show me an example of some kid or some scrawny looking ******* rowing 315 for reps with good form or OHP 225+ for reps

I used to see so many twinks deadlifting and squatting huge weight, never seen them do those lifts though

I agree that powerlifting lifts are cope because they're useless with their 2 inch range of motion. It's usually who's fat enough to have their disgusting blob bodies block 90% of the ROM who lift the most

Squats with a proper range of motion and deadlifts are very useful though. Squatting and picking things up are basic human movements and it's practical to build strength in each

I'm not saying they ain't functional, i'm just saying they arent a true test of strength like rows or OHP

Ive never ever ever seen anyone OHP 265 or row 4 plates that wasnt an all around beast, but ive seen people squat 500 that i dont even consider advanced (as weird as that sounds)

If you wanna be strong there isn't anything better than compounds. Not the best choice for aesthetics I admit

Srs response, these lifts alone won't get you big per se. They're designed to build the CNS; isolated movements can help the hypertrophy.

Your'e right OP. Squatting heavy and deadlifting is lame unless you're also yoked. That is why I only train a real man's lift, AKA smith machine calf raises with 1000lbs on each side of the bar.
