removing all the seed oils, soy, maltodextrin, corn syrup, etc. from food would be a good start

It's a start I guess.

I think there needs to be better education but then again I remember in High School not caring lol

There needs to be commercials/ads to eat apples and bananas and broccoli and to work out

Schools need better PE programs.

Participating in sports should be a requirement in education curriculum.

Limit food stamps to fruit and vegetables? We could also say it will help save the environment if people aren't buying meat in order to get lefties onboard.

Combination of these. Also provide health/life insurance discounts for people who go to the gym 3x a week at least.

COMPLETELY revamp urban & suburban infrastructure in favor of walking/cycling.

the USA has been built around the central idea of sitting on ur ass 24/7.

You can take a bicycle through socal/ny/houston faster than a car, yet every fat fuk is sitting in a car....

people in the USA will drive 1 mile to buy a lime without even noticing how absurd that is.

Amsterdam/Netherlands uses bike paths and pedestrian paths as a priority over streets for cars. They are literally eliminating roads and replacing them with parks, paths, and pedestrian areas.

Now we have E-bikes available, so even a fat fuk useless american could easily get 40 miles without breaking a sweat, while still being forced to use SOME cardio capacity.

Look at this.... You could send ur fat kid to school on a bike, they could see their friends on a bike, you could ride to the store on a bike.... You could do work commutes on bike, etc etc etc etc.

Nothing will work until there's a revolution of the mind. We need to return to logic and common sense over fantasy and emotions

When society is allowed to admit that being fat is disgusting and unhealthy again, we can start to address the issues which are diet and exercise

First of all the media needs to stop with the big is beautiful nonsense. Fat shaming needs to be a thing. Also drop portion sizes at fast food places. When 5000 calories at McDonalds is cheaper than something reasonably healthy at the grocery store which one do you think most will choose?

This is it. If you have to walk 4 or 5 miles every days you won't be obese after a while.

Also institute a fat tax for foods that are unhealthy and use that to subsidize foods that are healthier.

Nobody wants to hear it, but ban soda srs

I love soda but Iโ€™d say goodbye to it in a heartbeat if it meant fatties canโ€™t have access to it either

But we donโ€™t live in an authoritarian society so itโ€™ll never happen

Yeah, ok? Most of them have models based on a pay/non participation model. They're banking that you don't show up. They keep track of every time you check in,and it would be easy for them to submit an electronic statement of participation to you every month, that you forward to your insurance company.

People are not interested in health and fitness, it seems very 1980's, and technology is the focus and obsession now.
We are the elite.

Saturday I counted the number of guys in the free weight area by the dumbell rack on their phones and it was 21 out of 25 people!

Real solutions require individual desire to improve..... whatever their personal motivator is, it depends on the individual.
There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

Because eating meat is our problem. How bout we stop including candy bars and energy drinks for food stamps. Legit saw a guy walk out of the grocery store with said items and $0 due.

Bring back fat shaming, HTC needs to be reeducated as they fell for the media brainwashing that lardasses are attractive and it's a sign of healthy male virility (just lol)

In my opinion you can remove and ban bad foods all you want but people will still want to be fatties. It's a cultural thing where people aren't cooking their own meals and getting takeout laden with all sorts of extra calories from mystery sources. Women are on birth control so they aren't attracted to masculine men and prefer beta bitchboys who never exercise. Yes some jacked dudes get laid but when women are starting campaigns to incentivise the dadbod, it's a sign of a deeper problem

everything about pedestrian infrastructure is better....

less noise, a thousand times better lifestyle for children, cheaper road upkeep, mental health benefits of being outdoors, physical health benefits of moving around... Cities that are absolute chitholes (los angeles/new york/chicago) would actually be tolerable and even nice to live in if they had dutch-style pedestrian infrastructure.

but it'll never happen, because "I NEED MUH CAR TO PICK UP BOBBY FROM SOCCER 1.4 MILES AWAY"

It's the American lifestyle really. All people do is eat out at restaurants and hit the bar after work. And You're looked at as weird for eating healthy. My office just got bacon covered donuts and I'm resisting

My point is that exercising as a necessity of life (cycling, walking) is completely different than allocating free time toward "exercise".

For people like us, gyming is fun. For 95% of the population, it is not.

but 95% of the population DOES drive 1 mile to buy groceries, and that is absolutely insane.

I think the only reason we do that in america, is because our infrastructure sucks dick for walking/cycling. You walk along a sidewalk with a 45mph speed limit and feel like you will die at any minute. If ped paths were seperate, or at least had railings to seperate the cars from the pedestrians, people would actually use them.

Now imagine if that infrastructure went to the extreme of the netherlands, where riding a bike was faster than driving.... Now you get almost a 100% participation rate from your population BY DEFAULT.

telling people to take their free hour in the afternoon to hit the gym is not going to work.

Shut down fast food joints for two weeks to slow their curves.

After that obese people must wear non removable masks until they lose enough weight, which at that time they can begin eating salads.

you will adapt, srs.

amsterdam is COLD af in the winter, but their population isn't a bunch of fat pussies so they just deal with it.

literally thousands of bikes line the streets on a snowy day.
